Football has belonged to Manchester for years. Now the Olympics belong to Manchester.

Since the Beatles split up, music has belonged to Manchester.

Beatles overated..In fact I think they were ****.

Wrong!

Sorry mate, but you've got that completely wrong! Lennon & McCartney are/were two of the great modern composers - especially when they collaborated. They changed the face of popular music, not just in the UK, but globally.

Their influence on what's termed popular music cannot be overestimated.

McCartny is not a frog! He is a very naughty boy!! <grr>
McCartney is a bit of a bell end. I suspect Lennon, who I could answer questions about on Mastermind, was also a bit of a bell end. Harrison was a dark character. Starr/Starkey was nice enough if a bit simple (peace and love).

But collectively they did extraordinary things to music.

The stuff where they were obviously coked off their tits is particularly good, I think.

Lennon was a genius. But yeah, almost certainly completely ****ed up emotionally.
