Give me some possible dates and your handicaps and I'll arrange something. South Winchester a convenient location? Or should I look up around your area, Fats?
SW is part of Crown Golf so I can play at any one of their courses.

I'll play anywhere ... which is a bit like how I play every round ... anywhere and everywhere.

    http://www.telesurtv.net/english/ne...Strip-Off-Burkini-on-Beach-20160824-0003.html

French police force a woman to take off her burkini on a French beach. Personally I loathe seeing women shrouded....it deeply offends me. And is one of the reasons I hate going to London now. However, whilst I feel no one should be allowed to cover their faces in a public place...mainly security but also because it gives support to women trying to resist persecution within their communities...this is too much. If her face is uncovered...who are we to say that this lady has to bare any other part of her? Very inflammatory.

I hear what you're saying, Fran, but my guess would be that she was offered the choice of either leaving the beach or removing her veil. The fact that she removed it (and there was a photographer there to witness it) rather smacks (to me) of being a set up to see how far the French police would go.
Or am I just being cynical?

I do believe that this burka wearing is inflammatory in itself....Muslims have been here for centuries without wearing such things. I call it showing off. I also feel that some resistance to it...i.e. you must show your face...helps women who are being bullied and persecuted within their communities. And I agree the woman shed her clothes instead of leaving the beach....but she did say she was wearing a headscarf...so not a face veil. These things are a matter of balance....too much of this sort of thing could lead to even more provocation. The rule should be no covered faces in public places....just as you can't wear a crash helmet in some circumstances. This would be so inconvenient that it would give support to women who are being forced into it.

I'm all for burkinis myself - after watching a trio of Muslim ladies race each other on some waterslides in Turkey, I couldn't believe the speeds they were reaching and on this evidence, burkinis should be standard issue in waterparks.
Obviously less drag than bare skin :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Plus there were plenty of folk walking about in bikinis that I wish had been wearing burkinis instead

Can we ban hoodies as well? Nothing more intimidating than people covering their faces with hoodies. I've also seen photos of guys on public demonstrations with their faces covered. Maybe the police should go in and arrest these guys.

By the way what took place on the beach on Nice is just instituted state bullying and is used by that idiot Holande to say " we have put in place measures to counter terrorism."

I hate the banning of any clothing, either we are a multi cultural society and we have all that that involves or we start on the slow decline to a persecutory bullying system that picks on whatever is flavour of the month to be singled out as the current bogeyman

Adults who haven't had it should be careful...especially pregnant women and those with reduced immune systems.

I would imagine around 18, haven't played a full round since last year though, only 9-holes twice a month. Have been going to the driving range a fair bit recently so I'm not that rusty.
