All is revealed about the vetoed player "Man United's Andreas Pereira is at the centre of a power struggle between Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic and his recruitment team." please log in to view this image Source and story: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...ndreas-pereira-at-the-centre-of-fulham-trans/
Following the rumours linking us to a £3 million move for Kebano of Genk, he was left out of there squad last weekend! I like the look of him on paper, great stats.
Apparently having a medical and if all goes well we will ay Genk £3.8m. please log in to view this image The 24yr old Congolese is smallish, nippy and usually plays the N0. 10 role. Presumably therefore cover for Ayite and Aluko. He's bagged 9 goals and 6 assists in 45 games. Source: http://www.rtbf.be/sport/football/e...-kebano-a-fulham-jackpot-pour-genk?id=9386114
Sky sports reporting we're looking at taking Asamoah Gyan on loan from his Chinese club Shanghai SIPG. Looks to have had a bit of a stop start season there, not holding down a permanent place in the squad, whether thats through injury or just lack of form I don't know. My immediate thought was that if we were to sign both him and the guy Kebano from Genk then come January we could lose quite a few players to the African cup of nations. Also Ayite who is from Togo and Aluko plays for Nigeria. I'll be honest and say I have no idea if any of these countries have even qualified but at worst that could be 4 players we are missing for an important part of the season.
Isn't Asomoah Gyan in the top ten best paid players in the world? Cannot see that happening. Fabio - I think Togo, Nigeria & Congo all failed to qualify. Ghana did qualify though.
Pretty sure Gyan doesn't get the Ghana squad these days, if this move happened we would only be paying a small percentage of his wage!
Nigeria (Aluko) are definitely out. Togo (Ayite) have a slim chance of qualifting if they beat Djibouti and Liberia lose to Tunisia on 4th September. Ayite 'aint going to play in that one but he ought to be okay fo \january if they do get through. The only other one that might affect us is Congo - they have definitely qualified. And if Kebano signs we're liable to lose him. I guess if Gyan did join - big pinch of salt Cookie - we could lose him since Ghana have also qualified. Think he is still in the squad, having got a couple of goals in qualifying rounds.
Not a new arrival but just seen on the official site that LVC has signed a contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2018. If the news of Ragnar Sigurdsson signing are true then I think that is a brilliant move! After his performances at the Euros I could easily have seen him at a premier league team. Hoping this is true.
Apologies FAB - our posts about LVC crossed in the typing. And to you CRAVING - where I was simply slower. The news about Sigurdsson is indeed genuine as well
With Sigurdsson and hopefully Kebano signing, plus LVC signing an extension I would honestly be happy with just one more signing " A Striker" a big name statement of a striker, would be very happy if it was Rhodes.
The Sigurdsson signing came from nowhere, I hadn't heard of any links to him until about an hour ago and then all of a sudden hes signed. Made me think that quite a few of our deals this summer have went in under the radar, I don't remember reading much about Ayite, Odoi or Kalas before they signed. A sign that even though it may be quiet in the media regarding transfers at times that it doesn't mean the club aren't active in the market, hopefully the club has more surprises lined up.
please log in to view this image Appreciate this is based on the same original source but the 'language' is pretty hype and suggests that the story is gathering legs: "Fresh reports are emerging the English Championship side could gazump the deal as they attempt to sign the celebrated Ghana international. It's understood Gyan would welcome the chance to work under Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic, who is believed to be a huge admirer of the Ghanaian super star. The Ghana captain spent a season at Sunderland in 2010-11, where he scored 10 Premier League goals" Source: http://ghanasoccernet.com/fulham-keen-to-land-ghana-star-striker-asamoah-gyan?
Rumours across the net is Kebano had his medical yesterday but has gone back to Belgium to play for Genk tomorrow night, apparently Genk have asked to delay the transfer to allow him to play in an important Europa play off game against Lokomotiv Zagreb Thursday night! What odds on a serious injury??
That would wipe the smile off the Gaffer's face. But what a bizarre arrangement. Not heard of that before.
I seem to recall something similar with a Scandanavian full back - Stoor? - who Roy signed. They delayed the transfer for several weeks because of a European commitment, and the end result was that by the time he eventually signed, John Pantsil had played his way into first choice.
