Didn't American Plastic say that news announcements happen on Mon-Wed for maximum exposure? I'm going for next Monday.
It means that all outstanding debts for the company, other than the money owed to the Allams, has been paid off. It's just further evidence that a deal is about to be concluded.
No, it just means the SMC have repaid the debt Bartlett obtained from the Royal Bank of Scotland which was secured on the SMC's assets. What it could mean is that the SMC paid off the debt on time as part of the arrangement after the Allams failed to get the debt written off as illegal. Alternatively it could mean the debt was repaid as part of the sale agreement. You pay your money and you make your choice.
It doesn't. It just means the debts secured on the SMC's assets have been paid. Any unsecured debts, including over £9 million owed to Hull City Tigers Limited, are still outstanding.
If this does go through before the weekend then there is likely to be quite a contingency from the new owners present I would guess.
I've thought the sale to the Chinese was going to happen since the Allams gave the bidders the deadline.
Apparently the camera crew from the bbc at the training ground are there to do a piece for Saturdays football focus
The timing isn't coincidental as others have said. The ground is being prepared. The contract specifics and terms will be the hold up. Teams of lawyers will ping it back and forth until it's agreed. Just a question of time now it seems.
Last time I was involved in a company sale (2007) there was no pinging going on at all! On the 'final day' we, the sellers sat in our solicitors office from 9am to 9pm doing bugger all except provide the odd answer to lawyer's questions. 200 page documents etc had to be faxed between lawyers, buyers, banks, guarantors and various other interested parties, you can imagine how long it takes. And this was for the simplest of sales. City and the Chinese could be at it for days!
