I remember when these came out around the late 80's early 90's I think. They were so sour they almost hurt. I think they had to tone them down in the end. please log in to view this image
I don't think a pile of sugar mixed with honey and syrup wouldn't have been too sweet for me as a kid haha. I've still got the same sweet tooth now though I don't indulge it much.
I remember them, they would have been out in my sweet buying heyday. We'd build up how sour they were until you almost felt scared to have one, to be fair they were actually extremely sour.
Remember them massive gobstoppers. Day 1. Lick lick lick lick suck lick lick Day 2. Lick lick lick lick suck lick lick Day 3. Lick lick hammer smash
Frosties, they'd often spoil a good 20p mix as well, 10p gone. And frickin rainbow drops. Just fill it up with sweets ffs, 1p chews, stop cutting corners.
Aye! The size of a cricket ball. I persevered with mine for weeks. Licked the same side constantly until it was shaped like a crescent moon. Would leave it on the living room windowsill between shifts and despite having to pick off a bluebottle or two I managed to finish it. Never bought another cos my tongue was missing a few layers and was in severe agony by the time I'd finished.
Dont push me......push a push pop!!!! Cost about a pound I think. About 5p worth of lolly and 95p worth of plastic mechanism. Proper rip off! please log in to view this image
Yorkshire mix was a solid choice, I liked it because the name reminded me of New York what with me being born and raised in America.
