I think, because we were so shockingly awful we will concede that Gillingham deserved the win and so a state of peace and harmony still stands. Even their fans were better than ours lol.

I don't think i've been to a worse game! Let me know when it's safe to come out again!

There really is no excuse for you using foul and abusive language on this forum. The C word is not acceptable for you and judges to use.

Morning all, yet another very hot day ahead. Totally shattered yesterday after spending the afternoon painting walls. Up and down ladders in this heat is foolhardy, but daughter needs to get into the new house for Christmas if possible, and without a hand it will not happen. At least the paint dried quickly and you could see any bits that you had missed.
I have worked out how to keep cooler today. Go shopping for granddaughters birthday present. Sit in car with aircon on, park as close to store door as possible and get into their nice cool building. Have dinner out, so no cooking to heat our kitchen, keep off the wine as it makes you even more thirsty, and have a cold beer instead. Expected temperature 38°C, but I might survive. :emoticon-0107-sweat

Morning all - how is it that we can be so bad in this cup? With the squad we have we should be able to field a team of complete reserves and still give a better performane than last night. Well done Dave - good win for your guys. Not looking forward now to the Arsenal game - we seem to be clueless. Apparently WM did not even speak to his team in the dressing room after the game. Perhaps he was just too angry and decided he would wait till he had a chance to assess what went wrong. People talk about giving him a chance but that is not the Pozzo way - if they lose confidence he will go speedily.

Why cook at all? Our summer meals in Oz - where the temperatures were far higher - were always of the salad variety. Even Xmas dinner was a selection of cold meats, selection of salads, prawns on ice, champagne on ice, beer on ice - am salivating at the very thought... :(

Perhaps a bit TMI - but does it turn your pee red. Apparently we are divided into two groups - beetroot does nothing to me - but my wife ........ I am jealous.

I seem to remember it being massively pickled when I was a kid, which wasn't too terrible then, I loved pickled onions etc as a kid. Less so now, and thankfully beetroot seems to be lighter on acid - something I have to consider now that I didn't as a child. <laugh>
I'm going through loads of it in salads this summer. And don't get me started on radishes. ;)

You were asking how sad you were, minx. Hopefully feeling less so, as least relative to others. ;)

We grow out own beetroot (and radishes) - cannot now eat beetroot pickled although I did as a kid.|

    Lol

Nice to chat again .... used to enjoy coming on here for the banter

Sainsburys do a 'sweet smoky shredded beetroot' & I'm afraid I am now an addict .... please don't tell anyone ;)

I am not familiar with these 'street' terms. So you're smoking this beetroot, and feeling "sweet" yet also "shredded".
Are you explaining the days off work as being "a cold"?

    Seek help. <ok>
