Jose Enrique moves to Liverpool for £10m...

It's none of this that i'm worried about, i just plain don't like them!

 

They have conceeded 15 goals in 5 preseason matches, they are worse than us in my opinion. Another poor season ahead for them, don't think Kenny Dal wil last the season!!

 

didn't know this! All i knew was that Hull beat them 3 - 0 and were looking comfortable even after Adam and Henderson were brought on (i think Suarez was already on)...hopefully the King Kenny factor will have worn off by October and they'll be stuck in the bottom half all season!

 

Hull beta them 3-0, Galatasaray beat them 3-0 and they were 2-0 down to Valarenga after 15mins the other night and ended up drawing 3-3.

 

I'd love Liverpool to fail. They've shown no intelligence or imagination in their transfer dealings and have paid hugely inflated prices for very average UK talent. £20m for Jordan Henderson was the icing on the cake, absolute joke!

Here is there preseason record, some of the worlds elite they have been up against right enough!!!

 

It is pre season though. They had good form under him last year and are better equipped this year. Happy to bet with anyone now they will qualify for Europe this year. Worse than us? Haha. We're miles behind those guys, and so we should be with the money they're wafting around. They have a classy squad. Loads of teams approach pre season in different ways. I'd never read too much into results. Some are very old school and run them into the ground, they struggle in games, some go very easy and let them build into the season, takes all sorts. You can only judge teams once they are playing competitive matches. I do think they need a centre back but they are clearly looking as they tried for Jones. They also need a top class left back.............

 

Guangdong and Valeranga scored 3 against them each! Although to be fair i can't see how their defence would've dealt with Luton Shelton (Valeranga) - he's rapid!

 

I agree with Warm Pouch, pre season results mean very little. They are all about getting the players fit and ready for the start of the season. Liverpool will probably be in the top 6 next season and certainly offer Enrique a step forward from us.

It was the wee small hours when I spotted the 'stories' and must confess that in the cold light of day, i'm not entirely convinced it's a done deal either!

 

I know it means very little, but its still funny. We get tipped for relegation because we lose narrowly at Leeds and 1 player might leave. Nothing said about the scousers shocking pre season though. Just angers me that we get the negative oress all the time!!

 

I'll tale that bet. Fancy a sneaky 20 quid that Liverpool don't make the Champs League?

 

Their pre-season has been pretty shocking but I don't think they'll make the top 4, not a chance. I reckon they will qualify for the Europa League with a late surge of league form. A decent cup run but no trophies for our bindipping neighbours.

 

Suarez hasn't played in pre-season for us yet (Y)

 

It pisses me off that they are the darlings of the media. If we had treated Roy Hodgeson like they did, the media would have ripped us to shreds, but because it was Liverpool and their "long suffering loyal fans" nothing was said.
