Yes invest into the squad, they just have with players, and increased salaries for existing players, you still haven't accounted for the money spent there, it amounts to probably most of that money you have said is left over.

You have a strange way of looking at business, you seem to discount things to suit your particular argument, like the above.

The whole point of a business is to make money, you do that in football terms by tv rights, buying/selling players, crowd attendances, merchandise and commercial things. Each has to make money to be successful. Complaining that they are not spending money makes no bloody sense, just because money is there according to you it doesn't mean it has to be spent. You have to realise that this football club is now theirs, we are just customers of theirs, no matter what you say, you have no right to make demands of the club.

That may upset you, but basically it's their business to run, you or I have very little to say in it. They will continue to run their business as they see fit, if you don't like it then vote with your feet and wallet and don't be a customer any more.

No they haven't invested. It's money generate either from sales or money before they bought the club.
Increased salaries? I'd argue to the hilt that the saving of Ayews wages alone cover that.
Well if the money isn't there where is it? Bonys transfer went on the training facilities so it hasn't been spent there.
Why should I stop supporting my team? The fact you've used the word customer just strengthens my opinion that these Yanks are no good for us and they'll bleed us dry on broken promises like every other Yank that's bought a club in the PL.

I know they haven't invested further money, why should they? They have said they would use a sustainable model for the club, tell me what is sustainable about spending tens of millions for transfers, and more on wages in the first month of being in charge?

Where the money goes has basically nothing to do with us, it's not our money! They don't have to tell us anything beyond what's in the accounts, perhaps if you read them it would help you?

And Valley, we are customers! We don't own any part of the club at all, to think that just because you are one it gives you a right to demand changes to suit your needs is ridiculous! If you are a customer of ALDI or Lidl try demanding they change things and see how far you get as a customer

Because they've said, countless times that they are going too.
Really? Comparing a supermarket to a football club?
We do have a right to know where the money goes. It's the fans that buy tickets, merchandise etc.

Or do you want to be run like that lot down the M4?

We'll have to agree to disagree on the Yanks.

Yes they said they will invest into the club, show me where they have said right now? The comparison to a supermarket is apt, we buy products and services there, the same as we do with the club, there is very little difference in a business sense.

If you don't like what's on offer at the business you can use others, or in the case of the club by not supporting them them further, you seem to be extremely bitter here, why support the club if you are so annoyed? And Valley unless you own part of the club then you have absolutely no right to know where the money is spent!

On the yanks, I'm neither for them or against them, I am waiting to see what they are planning to do, but as a business owner myself I realise that a business needs a model on progression, they have just walked into the club, they need to know what is needed and how to do that. You have no patience at all, you are just being completely unrealistic.

I'm not bitter, I'm concerned about these men. We need to buy a couple of players of significant quality at the back and in midfield because if Gylfi and Leon get injured we are going down as nobody controls a game like Leon and we have nobody creative other than Gylfi in the middle of the park. As it stands, if they were to miss an extended run of games we'll be very, very close to being relegated - that's a realistic assessment of our squad.

But you just said they've authorised the Llorente and Baston deals?

The best time to invest into the squad is the summer transfer window. What's the point investing in January if we are down in the bottom places like last season? They keep banging on about 'ambition'. Where is it?

You can't run a business on a 'what if' that happens, well what if it doesn't happen? We have most of the players we need, we are not Man City who can just spend money in an almost unlimited manner, every player we bring in must make sense for us as a club. And you are making assumptions of course as you don't know if we will be relegated or if these players are injured, let's not forget we lost 2-0 against Hull where Siggy played the entire game.

The yanks obviously authorised the purchase of players, obviously because they came in after they took over the club, or do you think they wouldn't have an input on the club spending over £20m ?

And on spending in the summer transfer window, the club has spent almost £30m in this window on players, and has extended and improved deals for existing players, I remember you being happy that Siggy signed a new deal, do you think he was offered more money or less?

The point is though, despite saving money on wages and making money on sales, the bills must be paid, like running the academy, paying for all the backroom staff, paying corporation tax, paying the electricity bills, paying council tax and so on. It actually costs millions to run the club. Or have you forgotten that ?

Aston Villa were relegated last year with a crap foreign manager, billionaire American owner and a few foreign signings that flopped.

    Just saying.

We've been up for 5 years in the Premier , averaging 10 th place and have a net transfer GAIN of 3 million a season , the only Premier team over the past 5 seasonst that has a net transfer gain .
Sell your pessimistic comparisons elsewhere Clive , were fine buddy .

Why do you think we have any interest in anything you are saying on here? We stayed up last year with a crap English manager for half the season.

    Just saying.

We have to understand that these two yanks own a whopping 68% of the club and they will want to be successful and will slowly but surly place their own people in key positions and it will take a bit of time to see what is needed........Because Huw is the current chairman then he was put in full control of absolutely everything while they take a back seat and observe and get to know what running a top club is all about........I think we will see some major changes in the coming months starting with replacing Jenkins who they can see has made a pigs ear of everything and the yanks were not impressed at all.....Guildo wont last much longer even if he wins a game as he is not right for the club and with the money they have spent buying shares wont want to waste any more money until the right personnel are in place as they know they cant give Jenkins any money.... These guys wont want us to sink you can be sure about that and i bet they are working on it right now.....

That is just the start, there will be more, and unless Huw starts getting back on track, then I expect him to be next............<ok>
