If I made negative comments at the company I worked for after 4 weeks I would of been out on my arse can't think of much worse to say to a team after two games.

Super selective this though. Di Canio and Moyes make negative comments and it's out of order. Poyet, Dick and Sam all echoed exactly the same sentiments and nobody battered an eyelid.

The common denominator is they all said it during transfer windows. I wonder why?

They did say that to a f ucking **** squad though.
By the way I loved Paulo.

Exactly. Ever manager we've had since MoN gives off exactly same signals in regards to their **** squads during transfer windows. Problem they all had was they were too new to Short to reallise they may as well have been saying to a brick wall.

The slight difference is the others actually did have **** squads.

Moyes has his faults, and not providing cheery soundbites is one of them, but there are positives to his tenure so far such as good performances against Man City and in the second half on Sunday. The transfer situation (Khazri aside) and the injuries aren't his fault. ALS are suggesting that the M'Vila deal isn't yet dead and we may be surprised by other deals. We have gone backwards since the end of last season but that isn't down to David Moyes- its to do with wider problems within the club.

I'm finding this a very difficult discussion. I agree that it's very early days to be judging anybody. And yet, I'm uneasy. I watched the last few weeks and cannot get 1957-58 out of my mind. All those injuries turning up which seemed manageable in May. Kaboul, who was enthusing about the mood of the squad just three or four weeks ago, suddenly having an undisclosed 'personal problem'. Some of the younger guys on here will pooh-pooh this, and they're entitled. But once you've been burned, you don't forget the pain. Am I looking at another '57 here?

I'm not taking one side or the other for the moment. But, over the past couple of weeks, I have found myself becoming increasingly uneasy with Moyes. I'd much appreciate the views of our older mob on here. Are any familiar alarm bells ringing with you fellers as well?

Read above.<laugh>

Have I wandered onto the Mag board? Seems giving managers no time at all is acceptable here now. Now I know our slip is showing in the fan base as well as the club.

*cough* ninth manager in five years *cough*
