Nampalys Mendy will probably miss out after picking up an injury against Arsenal. Jeff Schlupp picked up an injury in training and will miss then next month but apart from that everyone else is fit and available so here is what I would go with Schmeichel Simpson Huth Morgan Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater King Albrighton Musa Vardy Subs- Zieler, Hernandez, Amartey, Gray, Kaputska, Okazaki, Ulloa
Kasper Simpson Morgan Huth Fuchs Mahrez Drinkwater Amartey Albrighton Okazaki Vardy Subs: Zieler, Hernandez, King, Gray, Kaputska, Musa, Ulloa
Like hell Schlupp has an injury, is this like the convenient one he got so he'd miss the AFCON a couple of years back? Minimal changes from that Arsenal performance for me as well, I think that team is good enough to beat Swansea, although there's certainly an argument to be made that Musa is more worthy of a place than Vardy right now. Their defence is weaker without Williams, although we'd maybe have wanted him to stay after last season's performance against us! Mahrez must be looking forward to meeting Everton!
It all depends on Siggurdsson I'd say as he has the x-facter to unlock our defense - also if he plays well, we might reconsider bidding for him... Am surprised that Premier League champion Nathan Dyer hasn't started for you - would have thought he'd be ideal to provide for Llorente.
Has Kaputska done much since he's been here. I'd love to see him have a run. I'd go with proud. Vardy will start to bang um in again and Musa will start to find his feet more so stick with that. Okazaki will play a more inpact roll l think. Coming on after 60 odd mins to run a knackered DEF down.
Let him adjust to English football first - has been playing in Poland which is Championship level at best. He played as a right winger in the reserves and wouldn't start him ahead of Mahrez.
If Riyad Mahrez ever takes another penalty for us I will surgically go and swap my testicals with my retinas
If we get into a penalty shoot out in any competition I fear for your testicles Ed.... In match play Vardy needs to be on penalty duty now. Mahrez has now missed 3 out of 4. As great as Mahrez is we need a better record than that. If it had gone to 3-0 today it would've been game over. Instead we ended with a nervy 10/15 minutes. Much, much better today though. Impressed with Amartey & Drinkwater together in midfield, and a Vardy goal from Vardy.
Was very Impressed with Amartey today! thought he did very well 1st half, 2nd half conditions got so bad just glad we managed to see game out again WHY his Mahrez ALLOWED to take the pens?
Definitely the Drinkwater Armartey show, both superb. Thought Simpson was excellent as well. Some pretty atrocious conditions come the end but thought Musa should have buried that late chance. 3 points in the bag and continuing to get better.
I don't get why Mahrez took the responsibly back. Yes Vardy skied one but Mahrez's penalties are shocking. he doesn't hit them with power and doesn't even find the corners. He just relies on sending the keeper the wrong way
If the goalie goes the right way for Vardys pens they're normally powerful enough even if they get a hand to it. Mahrez penalties are pretty poor to say the least, especially for a £100k a week PFA player of the year.
Im glad to see Amartey doing well in a position, i hope hes not put back to being a utility RB/CB after complementing Drinky so well as a DM.
