Is that the film where he has been living in a bomb shelter since the 50's? Can't even remember whether I liked that film or not.

Half the films I would list here are listed in the worst movie thread... Donnie Darko, Children of Men, District 9

    All surprisingly good <ok>

Aye and he goes up to get supplies and meets this punk type girl who helps him get trunk loads of things. I thought it was quite good. It was on late at night on the BBC so I didnt think it would be that good but it was surprisingly good and I would rate it as one of my favourites.

I didn't know what to expect with district 9 but thought it was really good.

I was surprised with deathproof first time I watched it (turned it off after an hour) but watched it the whole way through a while back and loved it.

I liked the way District 9 was set in SA. Really different for such a high budget hollywood blockbuster to be based in a third world country with no yanks to be seen.

Bladerunner - directors cut , went to see it `cause a mate was into it.....thinking "this will be pish without the voice-over , which basically tells the story , however , it was really quite super indeed <ok>

and it leaves out the "happy ending " that was insisted upon by the studio

Inglorious Basterds surprised me.....I thought it was going to bear some resemblance to actual historical events.
