I'm also not sure why we don't consider an asymmetric formation in order to take advantage of the strengths of our players. On the left both Olsson and Brady can offer attacking width and acceptable defensive skills. On the right, if we've got Pinto available who can bomb on, great, play Howson wider. But the combination of Martin with a conventional winger seems superior to me to playing Whittaker with Howson out of position.
Really excellent column from Melissa Rudd. This paragraph highlights exactly what I've been saying about our starting eleven on Sunday. And no, Melissa and I are not an item Full article here - well worth a look http://www.pinkun.com/opinion/steve...ieces_that_struggle_to_fit_together_1_4667529
The thing that p*ssed me off the most, is I mentioned all that on here when I saw the line up, and I saw a load others on here (probably you included). I even said it to my gf before the game started, and when it ended she said "you called that, and the score" I said, If I could see it, and most others on here could see it. Why couldn't AN!? I love the guy, but he shone his inexperience in the Premiership, and he's shown signs of it again in big games in the Championship so far (Weds and Ipsh*t). I don't see him learning or taking on his experiences. He talks a good game before and after. He's blunt and honest, and I love that. But when he keeps saying it.....you think....Yes, you are like us, but you are in the position to do something about it! That's a bit of a concern to me at the moment.
He keeps saying about giving the 'youngsters a chance' and I know Sunday's game was not the opportunity, but surely we should see some more of them involved on Saturday!!!!
Probably Jacob. But that's why I guessed Josh tonight. We know Jacob has looked great in the League. He just came back from injury as a sub. Josh hasn't impressed at all. Surely rest Jacob, so he's ready for Saturday, play Josh to give him another game in an Norwich shirt, and try and get his confidence back up. Because he looks bereft of it at the moment.
Wow, a goal for Laffers! So our recruitment agency have scoured all of Europe, and most of the rest of the universe...and the answer was either on the bench or in Coral's bookies the whole time
Most of us said last season "TRY LAFFERTY!!" after how class he was in the qualifiers. I think we have all known there is a bloke in our squad who could score goals, and we have all known he has been shut out. He is only playing tonight, because Jerome must be physically and mentally f**ked from the minutes and expectation of being the only Striker AN fancies. Also the terrible work of the transfer team to bring in ANYONE. Otherwise Laffs wouldn't have even got this chance.
