http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-14392589 The new Premier League club pay a peppercorn rent
Is there no shame with these people. They are riding on the backs of ordinary tax payers who are surely suffering enough already in this economic down turn. What an utter disgrace
Standby! Here they come!! http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/files/2010/08/grouse-shooting-sea_789236c.jpg
While we are waiting lets guess which one comes first, im sure they will all be waiting for one to make the first move. Im going to plump with Jager though.
I was sort of right. Jager has created a thread on the Swansea board about it, and surprise surprise none of the bbc story is true http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/71898-Rehashed-Crap
I can't see anyone from copperopolis defending this one.Expect them to lurk quietly in the shadow fuming.Keep an eye on the number of views.
What I find interesting is the apparent agreement that unless the mc make a profit then no money is paid to the council and up until now they've not made a profit hence no money paid out, now to me if they're not making a profit then they are probably making a loss, so how are they managing to keep in business after what some 6 years of losing money, something not quite right here me-thinks. Apologies if I've got the above wrong as I'm not an accountant lol
There was an agreement that Swansea City & the Ospreys would make up any short fall, there was a Dragon’s eye programme about it a few months ago. ( put a link on an older post) At that time neither of the clubs had adhered to this agreement and Swansea City & County Council had to pay the cost of maintenance.
Times like this I want to go over there and WUM like F***!! But being a bluebird we have standards....just popping out for a smoke
Manage to keep myself away, never have the need to go over there as half the f***ers are on yer anyway. Looking forward to the first Ford Monday night football.
I was going to leave the thread on the Swansea board alone until Hit the Road (Aussie Twat) specifically named me and Proph. They are all very touchy about it but of course theres no truth in the matter.
Why is it a 'good read'? Haven't you got enough to worry about in a season when you may not even stay up? Or the fact that you live in the hell-hole that is Maesteg? If you can read, which is highly unlikely, you'll see that even some council commentators openly criticising the ignorant Council Leader for his comments. Most Swansea residents realise that the benefits brought to the City in the form of increased jobs and revenues for local businesses, especially in tourism, as well as raising the profile of Swansea throughout the world are more than enough. Cardiff will just be a sign on the M4 for most visitors to South Wales this coming season. Must be gutting. If push comes to shove we could probably buy the stadium outright anyway. Especially if we manage another season in the Prem. Nothing to see here so go away and ponder your away days to Donny, Barnsley etc.
