1HAVE YOUR SAY DeAndre Yedlin's set to become Newcastle United's latest signing. The £5million-rated Tottenham Hotspur defender is due on Tyneside in the next 24 hours. Yedlin, a right-back when can also play in midfield, spent last season on loan at Sunderland. And the Gazette reported earlier today that United were close to a deal for the USA international. The 23-year-old, understood to favour a permanent move this summer, has also been linked with Aston Villa. United signed right-back Jesus Gamez from Atletico Madrid this summer, but the 31-year-old is yet to play a competitive match for the club Daryl Janmaat, Newcastle's first-choice in the position, wasn't involved in the weekend's 1-0 win over Bristol City. However, United manager Rafa Benitez insisted yesterday only a "fantastic" offer would persuade the club to sell the Holland international. Janmaat could return to the starting XI against Cheltenham Town in the EFL Cup tonight.
He's alright. Wouldn't have minded him here but not even a solitary second of sleep will be lost over this move.
Don't think anybody rated him...bit support might turn him into a good player. P/s its nailed on he will score against us.
There are plenty of legitimate reasons to be pissed off at Safc at the minute, but this isn't one of them. Decent player but not spectacular, if we get Manquillo that will do fine for me. There's a reason why there isn't a clamour of PL clubs after him. Remember that foul through at SJP? Clearly he's been a fan of the Mags for a while...
