    Just a question brb. Are you still a supermod, staff member, or whatever you like to call it, as you don't appear on the list anymore?

    Yes, I am, Mick (site owner) is hardly around these days, so I generally just clear up and sort most the techie crap - hence why i genuinely was a bit taken a back with what is being said. Yes, I know I can be an arse of atomic portions but this time I've done absolutely nothing to warrant the current one's.

    I wouldn't worry if I was you. There were some things said by a Mod very recently that were uncalled for which have been ignored by those on here although we did see them. We don't wish to go back through history, which as you would remember created bad feelings, so let's talk about the game tomorrow and put the past aside. Not606 struggles to keep people, so it would be far better to ask people to create a little harmony rather than worry about problems that hardly exist.

    What on earth is going on Cologne?

    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-37155060

    I did see a report recently that Farage was at the German Embassy enquiring about obtaining citizenship when the UK left the EU. Hardly enough to send an entire nation into panic surely?

    Good morning all from a hot and dry Weston-super-Mare!

    Have a good day! <ok>

    brb - I have been attacked for some time now by Cromer. When he dragged my posting on the Watford board into it, I thought it only fair to offer to stop posting on here, one of the Watford posters offered to tease Cromer on my behalf so I thanked him and told him not to bother as he would have the backing of the supermods = or are you telling me that you wouldn't support one of your mods?

    Other than that I have not even thought about you, nevermind talked about you!

    Again plural 'supermods' - you said Cromer would get our backing, I don't even know the guy other than having seen his username, we have somewhere in the region of 100 mods on this site, do you seriously expect me to know everyone of them and what they are up to daily on their respective boards.

    In regards to your question;

    Quote - 'or are you telling me that you wouldn't support one of your mods?'

    It's bit of a loaded question isn't it Dave, considering you already appear to assume the answer!

    I've clearly given my responses over the last few pages, I will let others judge whether i knew anything about the present situation.

    Anyway back to the football thread on this board.

    Morning all, it is already quite hot and it is going to get very hot this afternoon. Watering first, then a trip to the baker, and this afternoon painting walls for my daughter. I will be glad when we get to match time and I can sit still for a couple of hours.

    Hello brb,

    I agree with you and ofh that this is a football thread and let's get on with football. Just quickly, though, I wouldn't duck from my involvement. Dave has been posting here for years. It's just a friendly thing that developed after a Watford Norwich game several years ago, I believe. Cromer, from what I have read on both boards, has been a bit of a dick, and as ofh says, the site needs to hold on to posters to keep it vibrant and interesting. The fact that Dave has quit his own club's board because of relentless piss-taking by the mod is a great shame. The piss-taking continues on that board that Dave has now found refuge (my autocorrect changed that to 'refuse', maybe more apt ;)) here. But Dave's been here for ever. He offered to leave our board and was met with a lot of support. I assumed (obviously wrongly) that supermods (autocorrect wants 'supermoms' ;)) had been involved too. In my defence of Dave I called you (collectively) a name. I withdraw that, I don't believe you (or Minxy) knew about it. I didn't know Minxy was a supermod and I've chatted with you either here or on 606, I'm sure.

    Funny you should mention Minxy, because she used to post on our boards as regularly and in much the same fashion as Dave does now - in the days when she was poshminx. People post here 'cause we're a friendly lot (most of the time ;)) and we do adopt others into our fold and think of them as one of our own. Minxy was one of those and I would hate to cause her offence. Besides, she lives near me (or at least she used to). <yikes>

    I do think that all mods (note the lack of prefix) need to act responsibly as our own fabulous Hornette does. She keeps her role very much on the back-burner, and is rarely called upon, I believe. I just think it's a shame that Dave can't post on his own board without back-biting from the mod and his cronies who have mod-backing. There are several on Norwich board who are very unhappy about the situation.

    As for football, I think we may be presenting squad players with match experience of our new 3-5-2 so God alone knows how we'll play. In short, there will be room for any of your supporters' coaches to drive through our midfield/defence.

    <ok>

    On the subject of our board, has everyone else noticed how much more peaceful it is since the Political Thread slipped to Page Two? I like the thread but agree with Bloother that the board works best when we talk football.

    Hi brb

    Just to clarify, the post referred to supermods simply because you both decided a long time ago not to get involved in our board, it didn't refer to anything currently happening except that it related to poor Dave getting relentless abuse on his board. If you have reversed that decision now that's fab because occasionally I get questions from my board members and it would be good to be able to ask you rather than wade through endless posts on the mod board to see if I can find answers.

    Nice to see you post, enjoy tonight, will you be there?

    The headline is a bit misleading Frenchie. Something was leaked to the papers in Germany, and the British press got hold of it. Some concepts to do with civil defence are to be discussed in the cabinet on Wednesday - it may be wise to wait and see rather than jump to conclusions, as the article does. As far as I can see some ideas have been put forward by de Maiziere (the German Interior minister) who is well known for his bizarre statements - but are, by no means, ideas from the German government. If there is any truth behind this (and we will find out on Wednesday) then it certainly does take paranoia to new levels, and would create just the sort of alarmist mood in society which we don't need at the moment.

    Hornette - quite simply regardless of past differences Dave should be able to post on his own team board, if mods are preventing that from happening i will have words. If members are preventing it from happening i expect mods to have words.

    My thoughts on Dave aside...he is free to post where he likes in good nature. If someone is preventing that from happening i will remove that barrier.

    If ppl don't get on, then my hands are tied but i will deal with abuse no matter how subtle someone tries to dish it out.

    I will pass a message on to supermods to ensure Dave can post on his board freely and that the mods deal with any issues. Hon you know i don't mess about when i give a guarantee. That's my olive branch dealt to the Watford board.

    I do not agree. During the summer this board would die without non-football topics. Even during the season there are more non football posts as we can't all say the same thing over and over about our team. The peace is due to the absence of the WUMmer. The rest of us can behave like adults and argue or not as we choose (politics and religion are not for everyone) but most of the time we actually make and defend points and do not post provocative WUMming. Nobody has to visit the Politics thread unless they choose to. I am most disappointed that W-Y has now absented himself from the board too.

    I agree Leo.
    I agree Leo. The board would be a lot poorer if it restricted itself only to football related topics. Partly because it wouldn't survive the summer months, and secondly because those of us who live in remote areas and rarely get to live Watford matches would, possibly, have less to contribute. I like the fact that our board covers a whole range of things - from politics to gardening and pub quizzes. Political debates are potentially difficult - because people want to 'win' them, which is not the object of debating imo. The object should be an exchange of ideas - so that you maybe re evaluate your own in some particulars. A certain amount of 'rough and tumble' is inevitable sometimes, and wummers will always appear from time to time, but this is more than cancelled out by the majority of us who really want to exchange ideas in a respectfull way. In the past (without politics) we had to get over the summer with 'games' of different sorts (at one time we had 4 all at one time).
