Its really pissing me off to see our club in this state again. At the end of last season we had a team that had gone 11 games with only one defeat. Yes we lost the manager, but if they appointed me to run the club, I would have moved heaven and earth to keep these bunch of players together for this season. They were a focused team...a proper unit. We went into games expecting a result. Yes we lost big Sam, but in Moyes we have a very similar manager, so why decimate the squad and pretty much start from scratch.......again. On another note, I find it difficult to believe a manager after 180 minutes of football tells the world we are in a relegation fight. What message does that send to any potential new players we are trying to buy.. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
Not writing Moyes off but I thought very early into his Man Utd reign that he made a vital mistake by changing things too quickly (mainly in his backroom staff). I have to admit I'm worried that he see's fit to change the squad so much (Khazri dropped, M'Vila not prioritised, letting Kaboul go so easily but fair enough, the Kone debacle I think he's handled pretty well). All we needed was 4-5 players to either jump into the first team or be of similar ability to the first 11 to create a strong squad, now all I see is one giant mess with massive holes all over the squad. Next week's deadline is massive point in our season when frustratingly it didn't need to be.
What is difficult to understand about Catts. Kirchoff. Larsson. Borini.Kone (cough cough) being injured? We have only lost Kaboul, and replaced him. Cue the M.Vila and Yedlin stuff again. But they were loans.
And we let Kaboul go for peanuts! We should have told him ok he can leave but on our terms ie the end of the window or even january! All our rivals are off to good starts, Boro 4 points, Hull 6 points and Burnley beat Liverpool. And we just seem to lurch from one disaster to the next. We have amatuerish leadership from the very top and then this Martin Baine comes in and does what exactly?? We have ONE WEEK to sign at least 4 QUALITY players. I'm not holding my breath as we haven't signed any quality since the window open nearly 3 months ago. Even more alarming is there doesn't seem to be any urgency to sign anyone! I'm sure there is stuff going on behind the scenes but other clubs seem to manage ok in recruitment! Then there is the M'Vila saga...what a joke that is! A complete and utter embarrasment how we haven't signed him yet. We are in no position to play games of who blinks 1st with Kazan...just pay the £5m and get the lad in ffs! Then he wont be match fit...what a farce. How can it be possible to have a worse team than the previous season? A club is meant to IMPROVE in the transfer window! It's all excuses about it was the euros, then we losT BSA etc. Moyes needs to pull his friggin finger out and get some quality in now instead of feeding us moral sapping negative comments about relegation after 2 games! I could go on for another hour but what's the point. KTF haha...what a joke!
Just my opinion Comm.....I see a club that is going from one disaster to another. We've lost kaboul, we will lose Kone and probably Khazari. Larsson is no more than a squad player. We buy 2 uninspiring rejects from Man U. Yes we have had bad luck with injuries, but what is going at the club runs deeper than a bruised toe and pulled hamstring.
If we had a full team, i doubt we would have lost on Sunday and things wouldnt seem so bad. Kone and Khazri. Nee idea whats going on. Its mental.
Kabul left because his wife was going to leave him. now there's a newsflash for you. so we just hang onto him do we. We got more then our money back? Unlike 15 or so to leave lately.
Seven first team members out injured is not helping, but I'm puzzled as to why DM is not starting Lens and Khazri???
