There are several in Stamford just down the a1 from Peterborough. Depends on how expensive/posh you are thinking?
Posh is good! Will give that a look. staying at the Marriot as we usually do. Pool/ jaquzzi breakfast is good but dinner is a bit hotelish!
Morning all. No wholesale changes tonight imo. 3 at most. Give Pontus a run out and maybe a couple of others who Monk wants to take a look at. We should be putting a string team out to get the win. Winning breeds confidence which breeds winning. A win tonight would be unbeaten in 3 games and that is the platform of which a good run is built.
I live in Harrogate, and the mrs likes good things (posh is what she expects). Down for 2 nights so would go to Stamford on Sunday night. recommend away. Went to The Dog in a doublet on the East side of peterbro last year it was a great gastro pub, but don't like the menu this year.
The George in Stamford then. If you live in Harrogate then the George will definitely be what your missus is use to.
Darren Ferguson bought a pub in a little village near Stamford a few years back and turned it into a fancy eatery. He turned up one night to meet the previous owner during the sale and walked into the monthly Leeds Utd members club meeting that was held there. I've never seen anyone turn the colour he did or shrink their heads into their shoulders like he did since.
Peterborough IMO is a dive, seen trouble most times I've been out on the piss there. Maybe its just the boozers I choose though.
Good shout. Going there on Saturday night (table booked last one!) to celebrate the win. The menu looks immense.
If you are going to Rockingham and like curry, there is a fantastic Indian in Kettering called the Raj. Area looks rough outside but it is excellent - go there a fair bit with a Supplier
Cheers for that but as now going to Stamford on Saturday will need to find somewhere taxiable on Sunday so we can have a few sherberts.
I would usually agree with Green but think after keeping a clean sheet at the weekend i would keep him in to build on his confidence and match fitness.
Here's a good idea. Why don't we make 5 or 6 changes, you know rotate the squad get everybody up to speed fitness wise. I mean it worked for England in the Euros. It's all bollocks and I'm sick of it. Same team as Saturday, win the game and then make 3 change in the second half as we usually do anyway. Don't give the players excuses for losing matches like these. Full strength, full on all the time and if your not doing the business then you're out as there are plenty chomping at the bit to take your shirt.
