Just got home after the match and calming down now .......... scratch team that nearly got a result after a bad start. This is obviously not the eventual team Moyes wants to put out but there's some talent among the confusion. We just have to trust that Moyes will get to grips with it all.
First home game of the season and the team was booed off after 45 minutes... I'm ashamed wtf is going on with our fans.
Modern Day fans everywhere..... Appalling Some bellend behind us boo'ed the team onto the pitch for the 2nd half FFS
Because they want nothing short of a permanently winning team since they have paid their money. They do not have the brains, intelligence or patience to see the problems the club has with injuries, player wantaway and devious transfer dealings over which the club has no control. Moyes got it right when he answered the interviewers question about agreeing with those fans who saw another relegation battle and he told the plain unvarnished truth. Patience and vision is required, again, but blinkers well and truly on with the usual criticisms of what the club has done wrong. Obviously it will never happen, but I would love to see the list of players we have approached and been knocked back, or the pay on offer etc.
Not sure how anybody could boo those players at the game.......they tried but that team out there just simply isnt good enough. I think any booing is simply a reflection of the frustration over the position we have found ourselves in when just over a month ago everything seemed to be hunky dory! Could have really pushed on this season but, as of this point, have gone hugely backwards.
Booing is never constructive. But then neither were Moyes' comments after the game. Realism is one thing, defeatism is another. What players and fans alike need is rousing Churchillian defiance in the face of adversity, not dour Davey deciding we're doomed.
He came over badly in that interview, but he will be judged by what he does, in the long term I think we will be fine, but we could do with some good news and soon.
I thought he simply told the truth. I can't blame him for that. If he'd said he's not worried or that everything would turn out fine I would be worried because that would mean he's either lieing or delusional. Have we made any signings or are there any strong rumours out there, it seems very quiet and each day just passes without anything happening. I listen to the news all the time and keep checking on here but.....nothing about anyone arriving.
please log in to view this image You get rinsed every time you step on here fella. You shouldn't bother
It was toward the end. Camera cut to it on the tv too. They're playing the game man, not having a pre match game of tiggy
I wasn't being serious Bri. I know they were 4-0 up just before half time, that's not an empty stadium, that's the pastie rush.
It must have been amazing for you getting all three points against Bristol City. The don't come much bigger than that.
The fans (some of them) are a problem at Sunderland. Said on yhisbandboyher thread that they got straight on Watmores back for a misplaced pass but applauded Defoe for a worse one! If everyone supported the players it'd make a difference. Wonder if people believe that booing a bad player makes them want to play better? Or booing a player having a bad game. Did thecsame to PVA last season!
