And whichever way he chooses to go there will be a chunk of fans with sharpened pitch forks gathering just over the hill, ready to make their protest.

    Or

Look at GB for an even better, more recent recent example..... Australia is West Ham. GB is Saints.

Some nobody, notoriously unreliable and seeking attention or that bloke on another forum? Tough call.

Yeah. Look for the inference I was making. Lose the will to compete and cut your spending back and you stop winning medals.

Some have us have forgotten where we were just 4 years ago or gotten so used to constant improvement that we are starting to sound like millenials
It really wasn't that slow, the growth. It was remarkably quick as the club just put out a new video to remind us.

Ok... I'm onboard don't worry! I'm not one of the ones panicking or worrying. I've been one that's spent every year saying improvement over time isn't always a straight line graph.

Article from Ugly Inside saying similar to some of our posters. Personally, I think it's missed that the club have partly tried to do what it asked with all the extensions. It says it understands how hard it is to keep the players happy and ignores the 5 or 6 new deals for key players done this summer.

It calls for big name signings. This is such a typical fan view. I'm calling for replacements, whether they are big names, big money or whatever... I don't believe we need big names/money, we buy who we think is right, whether big name or unknown name, big money or bargain money.

Anyway, thought I'd share it so some of you can see I always consider both views before popping up on the positive side :)

I don't bother reading ugly inside, poorly written articles annoy me. I don't want a big name just somebody to beef up our attack.

So it looks likely by Friday a moody Romanian in, a moody Portuguese out, and Steve Austin to WBA.

    Henry Winkler it is then...:emoticon-0148-yes:

Id also like a VW replacement please. Really don't think Romeu is up to it. I love his character and enthusiasm but my god he's a drop from VW.

I see PEH as us finally getting a Morgan replacement but he's not a destroyer like Big Vic.

Ziyech disappeared from our radar? Haller as target man? Like Ulloa was for Leicester last season (impact target man).

No one doubts that the new deals are a good thing. What remains to be seen is whether the new deals will allow us to actually hang on to those players for longer; absent that element, they might boost our eventual sale price, but won't drastically change our fortunes.

Of course Schad, everyone knows that but that is taking the negative angle whether you mean it or not.

"Great we've at last managed to tie big players to new contracts"

    Or

"Meh, means nothing, they'll leave when they want."

Let's just pay the Board on the back and say well done. The article calls for a statement of intent. Well that's one statement of intent, whether it sticks is another thing, but we should stand up and congratulate them. It's a small part but a part none the less. The fans eye view is always below middle. So many fans want to have their cake and eat it. I do too, but I just don't look for the negative in every move made.

Ps. I can think of one poster who doubted they were a good thing :)

This isn't a badly written one really, just a little lop sided in its view.
