If we do loan Jay to WBA (which, so long as we sign another forward, I would not be against), I think it's important that a January recall clause is included (I assume you're still allowed them?). If he starts banging them in, we want him back rather than continuing to bang them in for WBA.

I'm not generally an ITK by any means, but WBA is the one club where I do have a close contact. But I can't get hold of them.

Why have I hardly ever gone onto Saintsweb before? That place is great.

Also, the mooted move for Haller makes little to no sense unless we're ditching the diamond. Not as bad a fit as Dost would be, but I can't really see him excelling in a role where he is expected to pull wide to defend and dropping into space. That's not his game; he's ludicrously good in the air, and he's not terribly slow, but he's a central target man who doesn't have the best on-ball skills.

I'm not sure why everyone is panicking - we have bags of money to spend and a black box, have been tracking upgrades to all who may leave for months, definitely going to be the biggest ever Saints spend next week - maybe

Maybe a change in formation? I've been watching the U23's tonight, and they a
    Pear to be playing 4-2-3-1.

They have been all season, I believe. Does very much seem like the club is building around the expectation that we'll go back to the 4-3-3 or its variants in short order.

Aron Winter? Probably lost a bit of pace at his age, but some definite quality.

You would think so? Doesn't make much sense though to change the first team squad to a new Diamond formation, and get the Acadamy lads to play a different formation, especially as the youth is being pushed very hard this year to make the step up to the first team?
