Definitely NOT the remake. I saw the remake of Poltergeist. Pure ****. Why do it, no chance you're going to improve on the original. They've done a remake of Ben Hur ffs <doh>

Agree about 2 and 3 also. But the 1st Omen is edge of seat stuff at times. Only now I realise the camera angles, the range of long shots and close ups, and the lighting really make the film as creepy as ****.

I've seen a few horror (not gore) films recently but I'm struggling to think of any others I'd recommend. Sinister was ****.

'Haunting in Connecticut' is good imo.

'Exorcism of Emily Rose' is good also.

    'Babadook' actually is very good.

Ok so now I can suddenly think of quite a few lol

    Lol...that list will do!

Yeah saw the Ben Hurr reviews...I just assumed it would be like the Noah ****e..dereligionising (I made a word!) religious movies lol...why bother?

Yeah The Omen cinematography is great...like a lot of '70s movies: there was a real attempt at realism in how films were shot that decade...think it reflected the slightly dark political/economic ...pessimistic world view then.

Omen 1 and 2 were awesome. I femt they lost it a bit then.

I was under the impression they were always meant to be a series.

    ...

I agree. Do not renake ben hur and people ought to stop going to movies being ruined by poor remakes.

    Italian job.

A Tale of two Sisters is creepy as **** and Audition is nightmarish.

I know not strictly horror films but the Vengeance trilogy is very gory, most will only have seen Oldboy

Also Del Toro's early films, Cronos and the Devils Backbone

These sorts of lists will always be pulled for putting films higher/lower than they should be because it's all subjective... but 1. Mullholland Drive! **** off <doh>

Boyhood is overrated and I'm a fan of Linklater. A good film but nothing special.
