The fuzzys take a pounding on here. But this is one reason why not to lumber them all together. Massive balls. Police have stripped an explosives belt from a suspected child suicide bomber in northern Iraq. Pictures show the moment Kurdish security forces stopped and searched the boy in a street in the city of Kirkuk on Sunday. The child looked distressed as he was restrained by four officials who grappled with the youngster as they attempted to inspect the belt. It was eventually removed from the boy's body and the explosives defused at the scene. The boy, reportedly no older than 13, was arrested in the city's Huziran neighbourhood and driven away in a police car. .......... **** that. As some are by phone it could have went BOOM at any moment. Massive respect ........... So how big are yours, do you reckon in certain circumstances? Would you intervene in a knife/axe attack? What if shots were being fired in a shopping centre? A loon in a school? What aboit less extreme. A lad punching **** outta a lass? 3 bullies picking on some kid? A group attacking a kebab stall? Someone threatining to hoy themself of a bridge? ............... Pick and choose at will.
The jump off the bridge one is probably the easiest, I'm confident I could sneak up on him and push him off.
Intervened in attacks involving all sorts of weapons. I worked in a very volatile environment. You need balls of steel at fist and the first few attacks are tough and lot of people quit. But then it's not about balls anymore it becomes your job, instinctive. Last summer walking though the park with my lass I intervened as dozen lads chased some smack head out into the open and started laying into him, kicking him in the head and all sorts. He probably deserved it but that's not the point, there were kids and families everywhere. I reminded them of this as I approached them. They realised there was about 30 witnesses scattered all over watching them so dispersed, could have been very dodgy, I put a lot of faith in me drawing enough attention their being witness and kids watching would be enough. It was fortunately. We were the only people about without kids so what choice did i have. Kids can't be seeing that ****. So danger doesn't bother me in the slightest. I find things like Cardiac Arrests and heavy trauma are much tougher to deal with than a threat of violence. That sort of **** has my heart pounding out of my chest. So big up field medics too, they don't get much press. Takes some stones that job.
Hope I'm never in that position. You'd be daring yourself if you found yourself in their blind spot. Think anyone would. Don't think I'd be daft enough though like most wouldn't be, given how it could make things so much worse.
You dont **** with anyone that has a gun. Unless you have one yourself. Sod confronting an armed man, while being unarmed.
Comm's implying that people on here are choosing to sulk over SAFC rather than take their minds off it briefly with an OT thread. Apart from you
Ah I see. May as well distract ourselves, there's only so much one can cry about without beginning a loop. Got it out of me for the time being.
I would have a go say on a bus, if someone had a axe or knife and he attacked anyone, I would take him out.
