Dude, show some respect. Hockey definite highlight, on at prime time and people talking about it. Hope it can do wonders for the sport, more people involved and save pitches from being taken over by 3G football.
Best Team Bit? GB woman's Hockey team...Ultimate team performance...Everyone expected the cyclists to run rampant but no one thought these ladies would do this. Best Individual Moment..Yeah Mo ...not sure I like the guy but as a tactician he's awesome and his sprint finish must be the most demoralising thing to see as an opponent. Best Perv? Entire Beach Volleyball comp lol. Funniest Moment: That poor hurdler dude. Worst thing? Boxing as a whole. Maybe the empty stadiums. Bring on the Para Olympics!!! Edit: oh and fair play to the BBC coverage..between the red button and I player you pretty much got to see what you wanted...
Well done to all of them for the commitment it takes, medal winners or not they all get a . Gutted for those who were cheated out of it namely the Irish boxers, our walker dq'd for 'bending his knees', the men's 4x400, the taekwondo lad kicking away and they discovered his opponent's battery wasn't working. And shame on all the drug cheats allowed to take part and those who lost out because of it.
It'll be interesting to see if any Russians that took part get caught in tests...? Since the excuse for allowing them in was they had no part in the Russian testing they can't exactly threaten to ban Russia again lol
For me, the fact they'd already been caught but were still allowed to compete is far worse but yes it will be interesting to see if any were guilty at this games. I take a zero tolerance approach on the matter. If you've been caught, life time ban.
I think the russians who went will have done their doping and won't be on anything. they bought the boxing medals already. I noted they won a load in fencing too so not sure if they bought that too.
