I nearly believe you. But that would mean all the bait you throw into the pond is just you littering. #nosuchthingasanaccidentalcast
It was an educated guess mate. With talk of Dave and Murphy being shown the door last week and Duke and Silvestri supposedly been shown the door the week before and the fact we've been linked with Jali and Fletcher over the last few days, it looks like we might still be dabbling
For what it's worth, I don't think there will be many changes for this game. I know it's the LC, and it's usually an opportunity to play some fringe players ..... BUT ..... more importantly, we have new players & a new manager trying to introduce a new system which the players are slowly picking up on. This match is an opportunity to continue to build the understanding we require. It's safer to do it in this match than the next league match. So I reckon that the good of the team will come before the opportunity for the fringe players to get a run out. I don't think it'll be too rigid: * We already appear to be rotating Viera & Phillips (scant evidence, I know, but I think it's an educated guess & that will benefit both). * Mowatt or Hernandez - or do we see if Grimes can do himself justice for the first time? I suspect Grimes might get some game time & Hernandez might be kept fresh for the weekend. * Jansson. Will he get his debut, surrounded by stalwards to ease him in, or will he need to wait a while longer, allowing us to play more fringe players? I really don't know, but it may well be a key decision in selecting the team we put out. If he plays, I think both Cooper & Bartley might get 45 each, as has been previously suggested. Then again, he may only be fit for 45 himself! * Ayling or Coyle? Depends on the Jansson decision IMO. Coyle still needs to be developed & this is probably an excellent opportunity. Can't see him play though if Jansson makes a start. * Strikers/wingers? No change. Need to attack & score goals. Dallas is too defensive, so no go, but Doukara might get a 2nd half look-in if things go well. But then, WTF do I know?
LeedsofLondon, can't argue with you about cellino but I will say this: Choice between Bates and him Cellino everytime for me. dont give a fook about his spurious conviction as we dont understand Italian law and the way it works. FFS they are having a 4th trial for the Student girl that was supposedly murdered by the yank, with some skank already convicted and serving time. Bates spends time in courts every year and so far has nobody has put him away, although in 5 different court cases he has been called a liar by a Hugh Court Judge. His fraudulent dealings with himself (No salary) the club and FSF is a lesson in corporate corruption. He takes the club into administration for a 2nd time and somehow the legal administrator of renown misses the point that there was another outstanding creditor that was supposedly owed £19m. This was discovered right before the dealine for bids. bids which were sealed and in the hands of the lawyers. Those bids were then blown out of the water as they never factored in an extra £19m. Then FSF said they would forget the £19m as long as they kept control and Bates stayed on. A fooking huge scandal that he yet again got away with and the administrator was pensioned off with a brown envelope. Funnily enough the rest of the Bates was there the accounts showed payments of £19.6m to a consultancy company for services to the club. The consultants were based in Monaco and Belize at PO Box addresses. This is the same man that the UK Government paid £4.3m to leave the island he bought as he had made everyone on the island (They all worked for the quarry he bought) and then asset stripped the business. The FBI had him as the most wanted, and he caused a massive diplomatic incident. The same guy who sold Chelsea to Abramovitch but forgot to mention that he hadn't sold the ground as that was tied up in another company. That scam cost Abramovitch another £22m which was split 3 ways again between his lawyer (Ex Leeds) Taylor and his long time partner (Also a convicted fraudster) So when some of you bang on about criminals owning football clubs, ask why bates is still walking around, and why Harvey got the FL job. Cellino any day
Is anyone else worried that if we don't tie Monk down to a longer contract he'll be off to the Premier League as soon as the sackings start around xmas ?
As with the players, a longer contract would only mean more compo for us if he left. If the guy is as successful as we hope pl teams will come snooping and inevitably poach him. It's not a problem we've had in recent years due to the quality of our managers or coaches
Face to face I love a good laugh, I just believe it is a dangerous game on a forum unless you know each other really well. S now that would be a first, a coach actually leaving before he was sacked
Fair point. But what if we've got it together and are playing well and then he leaves in January after being offered a 4 year deal in the premiership. Plus he'll take all his staff with him. If we need to tie down the better players to stop that happening then surely the manager/coach as well. Personally I believe he's the best we've had for a long long time. Give him a 3 year deal and send the message out that we are building and change the general perception that we are always lurching from one crisis to the next.
Give your head a shake ,,,,,,,,,, watermelons are 10 a penny... You know how it goes with Cellino business model, absolutely everything is for sale at the first opportunity. You aint falling for the "he has changed" bollix are you?
Not arguing but, for whatever reason, it seems sometimes it is worse when the perps do know each other
A lesson for inexperienced or accidental fishermen everywhere. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/weird-news/man-left-spear-impaled-through-8682256 I know it's the mirror Jock, but he isn't a Leeds fan so it might be true.
Think I'm going to write to Cellino to decline the offer of 25% refund on the Season ticket. Seems he's in a good mood at the moment and he might buy another couple of decent players if I cheer him up some more.
