Thought Pienaar was probably the best player on the pitch today. That's a worrying statement IMO. (Edit: Apart from Januzaj who's a class above.)
You haven't watched much of us then. I remember an entire season where I'm pretty sure we didn't beat the first man with a single corner. Djilobodji got on the end of most of them but they were too high and floaty rather than having pace on them. Creating had to be done after the corner rather than from it (and that didn't happen) I thought Pienaar was excellent today. Don't remember him going a ball away. Was our only composure in centre mid.
Not recently Marcus, too expensive now, but I gave up my season tickets, twice, once during the Alan Brown era and more recently when we fired Keane, since then I have attended one or two matches a season, in which we usually loose, so I suppose I am now a fair weather supporter, who pays homage to Sky TV who I despise and love in equal measure. So I suppose you are right, and by the way I agree with all of your comments on the match. Keep us posted.
Wasn't meant as a dig - but the corners last week are nowhere near as bad as they have been before. We've been spoilt since Christmas with Khazri taking them I think!!
Think it says a lot about both TBH - he is obviously a good footballer - looked good on the ball and gave composure in central midfield which was completely non-existent both games prior to him coming on!
Was that when Hendo was taking them? I remember him being fairly ****e. Having said that, at least he was trying to put a useful ball in. Januzaj was taking the easy option all game (float it in with no pace whatsoever), yes he beat the first man but there was no way we were ever scoring from them - Boro could defend them all day. I'm not sure which is worse - do something useless well or try something useful badly?
I could have put this in Tees " eating humble pie thread". I thought Moysy was giving Pienaar one last decent pay day and didnt want him here. Up to now the lad has controlled our midfield. Get Mvila & Iborra, get Kirchy fit and we will have some decent options in midfield.

Cringed when we signed him but for me he's been spotless. Very useful addition and being smartly used in my eyes.
