Along with telling us our club's future is bleak the Judas also said he "always gave us 100%". The truth is he was'nt arsed during his last year with us and after he moved to London for silverware and megabucks the biatch has more splinters in his arse than goals for Chelsea due to sitting on their bench for the last 6 months. http://www.clickliverpool.com/sport...-looking-bright,-insists-fernando-torres.html Torres has shown just like Chelsea FC he has no class.
I'm not defending Torres but this piece smells like a re-hash of previous statements. If it was recent and made directly to Click liverpool then the rest of the media would be all over it like a rash. As they aren't, I believe that it is just one more piece of bad sensationalist journalism.
I agree and would think that this would be all over the press if true. I still hope it all continues to go wrong for him regardless.
To be fair to Torres, he was always struggling with injuries and fitness - mainly picked up from National duty! Not only that, Hodgson's tactics did not suit him and it left him isolated. It's no coincidence that he started to score some goals under Kenny. It's just a shame he showed no loyalty.
Hot air. He's still trying to offer justification for his move. Trouble is, the more he says the bigger a hole he seems to dig for himself. He should concentrate on learning to play football again, and do his talking on the pitch. If he gets on it, of course.
MEH! It's Torres Hasn't he got better things to do? I thought the new season was around the corner, he would be better suited down the training groud trying to remember how to put the ball in the net then talking about us. Fernando Torres is primarily a Chelsea player, secondly a former Liverpool Player, it seems that he thinks that primarily he is a former Liverpool player, Secondly he is a current Chelsea Player
If that was truly 100% he gave us for the last 12/18 months then his future at Chelsea must surely be questionable.
If he is to win trophies he is going to have to score more than one competitive goal for his new club....Does he not know that the success of a team relies on the performance of it's players? Good luck Fernando, next year may not be our year but it certainly will not be Chelsea's.
Ha ha, was it Agger who did that at the Bridge last season? That moment was almost as priceless as the moment the camera panned on to him when the goal went in. I hate that ungrateful douche.
Does he need to still be talking about us? It was 8months ago fernando, I've forgotten about you maybe it's time you forgot about us.
Hes more than likely to be shipped out at the end of the season if he doesnt start scoring regularly.Think he should put the effort in on the pitch rather than speaking to the media about other teams.
It's strange that he would say this now, when we're actually in better condition as a club (financially) than we ever were when he was here. You'd understand him saying this a year or so ago, with all the stuff going on in the boardroom, but not after we've got new owners who seem like they're willing to spend to ensure success.
I can understand how Torres felt let down by the previous regime (be honest, all you Liverpool fans did), and why he didnt like Hodgesons style of play (again be honest, you didnt either). However he should of given the new owners and Kenny until the end of the season to see how things panned out. Personally I think 2 things happened His agent turned his head, lure of big money, Champions league this season ect That lead him to need his ego massaged, however Kenny isnt into that, your either a Red or your not. Given the option of Suarez and Carroll or Torres, I would pick the two over Torres any day. I reckon Torres will get a few this season, he is a great player, reckon Suarez and Carroll will get more though! I personally think Liverpool will be top 3, along with the two clubs from the city that will remain nameless, would love to see Chelsea 5th or 6th
Agree on the agent perhaps playing a part, either way his departure allowed liverpool to add a different dimension to the way they play.Could it be that in years to come Torres was the catalyst in the rebuilding of the club both on and off the field. How gutting that would be for him especially if Chelsea were to fall by the wayside in the process. Grass isnt always greener on the other side.
Firstly I reckon its a rehashed statement and another example of lazy journalism. Secondly I agree with Kennys atitude,if players don't want to play for the club, they are no use to the club, so they are best not at the club. We got a £30 million profit for an underperforming striker, and he hasn't performed at his new club either. Maybe John Aldridge was right. He said that he believes Torres as a top of the range striker is effectively finished and that he will still score goals but not as many as he did previously. Instead we got two players that want to play for the club, and we look like more of a team now than a bunch of individuals. The proof of the pudding will be if we win a trophy that the decision to sell was a good one, as we won sweet **** all with Torres in the side.
