Only she didn't keep quiet she did a TV interview with Marr <doh>

She'd been using free movement as her excuse for her complete failure in her prime task re: immigration.

She therefore had 2 maintain that stance whilst favouring Remain. She's just yet another duplicitous Tory.

Who would decide what portfolio they had? It sounds like a disaster.

In other words a politician solely motivated by personal ambition rather than the best interests of the people they serve. Certainly a smart cookie by putting the three brexiteers together to face the music whilst not dirtying her hands

No, it is a ridiculous notion. Each country putting up one person with nobody considering whether their skills are what is needed or they can work together. I would much rather have something like in the UK where the Prime Minister decides the composition of the government.

You don't understand the British people if you think that she wouldn't be held responsible for any failings in her government.

In the UK they have a leader elected by 300-odd MPs. That's much more democratic than 28 people proposed by one government each and then the 28 vote for a leader.

    We shall see,
I predict that should the three brexiteers fail to deliver she will sack them and ride in on her silver charger to save the day with a compromise

So democracy only works if there's a scale?

But you said turnout is irrelevant in elections?

    Sort your story out.

When the PM selects his/her ministers there are only a limited number of candidates available, usually with a very limited range of skills. The choice of Commisioner, however has a far wider range of candidates and so is far more likely to be suitable for the job. Nobody could rightfully claim that Hunt has the necessary skills to be Secretary of State for Health.

That is true. But they are not elected in any way.

Wrong again. The 28 Commisioners do not select the President. That is decided by the heads of the 28 governments

Not wrong. I didn't say they were. I was commenting on a suggestion put forward at #2006.

Pete, you lack any credibility as long as you insist that May wasn't pro Remain. Her speeches confirm that she was.

    You're a deluded moron.
