So, what about when I get (wrongly) accused of stating that we "should have bid £50m for Britt Assombalonga". I suggest that's more Isaac Asimov than Oscar Wilde And I've never said that to anyone, not even myself in my sleep, never mind a forum populated by (predominantly) adults.
Just been listening to AN's comments and he was bemoaning the fact that we didn't pass the ball quickly enough - surely when you send out a defensively-minded starting 11, what else do you expect. Has anyone any news as to when we are likely to see Pritchard playing for us, or is he going to be another 'sicknote????' Also, does anyone know what hold Naismith has over AN, so that he is always in the starting 11???
At least after the game against Coventry and then the trip to St Andrews on Saturday, hopefully Pritchard will be fit and raring to go - let's hope Naismith is the player dropped to make way for him!!!!
At least it was a (hard fought) point - which we scarcely deserved, so any away point is useful. I just want to see Pritchard fit and in consideration and Toffolo, Maddison and Canos get proper chances to show what they can do. Wessi, 34 years old, 3 games in 8 days...a bridge too far.
I never know how to take anything you say unless you are flat out insulting me. So at the moment. I'll respond with: "Thanks?"
Totally agree with your post Cromer, especially your last sentence. I'm beginning to get thoroughly disillusioned with our manager - he said before the season started that he wanted to give the younger players a chance - we're STILL waiting!!!!! If this goes on much longer, I'll be resurrecting the 'How long do we give him thread!!!'
I might have to go to the pub next Saturday for the evening kick off between Newcastle and Brighton!!!!
Tettey got a yellow for being a dick arguing about a free kick. Lafferty must have paid him for bet totally bizzare
I kind of see what you are saying but have perhaps overlooked the 20 minute period when we did pass the ball around quickly, Ipswich barely got a sniff and certainly did not look as menacing as they had before. Had City continued to play the same way (assuming Town would have let them), I have little doubt the game would have been won as we were a class above when playing in that manner and the line up or formation would not have come in to it. On paper there is more than enough in the current City squad to beat most (though we do desperately need another striker), if not all sides in the Championship but they have to play the quick passing stuff for more than 20 minutes per game to do it in some cases.[/QUOTE] I am just as stumped as you are unless AN feels he has to get some return for the money spent by actually playing him and not warming the bench or dugout for the season.
