    Leeds-18, are you for real?

You want Leicester fans to condemn their spending whilst continually banging on about Bates not providing any funds?

I'd be more inclined to supporting the FA in bringing in more stringent rules on transfer/wage limitations than actually blaming my club for exploiting the freedom of the transfer market, though I do think it's somewhat unscrupulous to break spending precedents in this way.

Yes, Clive, because there is a balance between spending ****loads and spending **** all. That's the kind of healthy balance I'd like to see all clubs operating at. It's hardly rocket science.

What if your ideal amount is available to Grayson but he just can't get the players, the players don't really exist, or he's afraid of looking bad if the transfer doesn't come off and of raising expectations?

Leeds 18, ever get the feeling you're banging your head against a brick wall, why do you bother with this clown, he's not very intelligent, and keeps on regurgitating his usual crap, he hasn't got a clue.

The players do exist. Jonathan Greening, Aron Gunnarson, Kenny Miller, et al, et al. Don't tell me they weren't on his wish-list, it's just that he wasn't given enough money to go get 'em.

I think of it as a Socratic dialogue.

which they could have done without wearing the home kit first. It's about mass exposure to maximise sales, the true sign of a truly commercial club.

an entirely open Premier League where any team in it at the start of any given season has just as much chance of winning it as anyone else is the dream. Of course, it's never going to be entirely the case, but getting back to how competitive the old first division was should be the goal.

The unfortunate reality is that the game is dictated by the clubs with money and the TV companies willing to give them more. They provide the masses with the games. They will always find ways to inject money into clubs and those clubs will find ways to inject money into players, to give themselves an unfair advantage. And they don't care how uncompetitive the leagues are, because the majority of fans are those of the teams that win the most. All they care about is keeping them happy, because that's what makes them money.

People like that are not only what's wrong with football, they are what is wrong with the world. People who think everything, the entirety of human life revolves around money. They don't understand other values, and they'd steal the shirt off your back if they thought they could make 5 bar.

Unfortunately by the time you get close to tasting any real level of success, financial fair play rulings will be commonplace, and being a commercial club to those extremes won't make a blind bit of difference. As it stands it's just your owners trying to get some level of return on investment. Advertising to the far eastern market where I'm guessing there are a lot of football fans without a western allegiance already is a great way to advertise, but once that mass investment is removed, the prospect of real success goes with it and no ****er will be interested.

I thought I read somewhere that the scum had a lot to do with the deal with sky sports that gave birth to the premier league. For that they should be shut down. Permanently.

You don't know who was on Grayson's wishlist. Just because you'd like us to sign certain players and they don't come, it doesn't mean that Grayson wanted them but couldn't afford them. He's said a striker isn't a priority, so why would he want Miller?

Teams should only be able to spend what they get in in gate money, shirt sales etc.

I think it's a great idea, it would get rid of the possibility of clubs collapsing due to debt, as you simply wouldn't be allowed to get into it. It would remove super rich sugar daddy chairmen and encourage careful, clever spending.

Simon nothing to do with the fact that we would be one of the most competitive in the transfer market because we get more money in? lol

    Well....

It would actually be a good thing overall. It would mean teams would have to really think about how to increase revenue rather than just taking out loans and spending money they don't really have.
