Surely he's entitled to free speech even though we don't agree with it.

If that's his opinion I don't really give a **** about how he feels about gay people. However with the modern medias love of outrage culture they will be salivating over this.

People , particularly in the media love telling us what we can say and even think.
I think it was called political correctness a few years ago.
We now have hate crimes ...coming soon will be thought crimes. We need neither, if you are abusive or harm somebody there are plently of laws already.

Social media rules clearly state you can't comment in a manner that is abusive and/or insulting and/or improper and/or brings the game into disrepute.

In Nottingham now it's a hate crime to wolf whistle or give a woman a compliment. Because it means you hate women apparently. You know 100% people who made these laws have never had any attention from the opposite sex

Indeed , but they highlight very specific abuse, e.g. gay , race etc but ignore people calling me a fat bald bastard....

    I know he's a proper bellend but I can't see what's wrong here?

It's his opinion and let's be honest, we're all thinking it.

What cretin thinks its acceptable to wolf-whistle a woman anyway? Probably one that has never had any attention from the opposite sex.

The only good thing about wolf-whistling is it saves the woman time, she doesn't even have to look at or speak to them to know they're a dick.

Surely the League must deduct Burnley points now or levy a hefty fine?

Free speech doesn't entitle you to be an offensive homophobe.

He's clearly a **** and will deserve whatever punishment he gets.

But it's selective, like this forum. The rules on here are broken consistently every day and just ignored UNLESS it's about race, sexuality or a conversation about politics.
The rules of the forum need re-writing , or just don't have any.

I agree with you on the msm manipulating us and many people succumb and are indeed somewhat controlled by it.

The problem here is Gray's "#burn #die" tweet aimed at gay people. That is wrong.

If I heard someone calling you a fat bald bastard, it wouldn't be nice. But if they were insinuating you should burn and die for being a fat bald bastard, then there's a real problem.

We each have our own values and morals. But surely saying someone should burn and die because of a lifestyle that hurts no-one is stepping well over the mark of free speech?

Actually it does, free speech ends at examples such as shouting fire in a crowded theatre
