Our refusal to stick to script is causing discomfort in the media just like back then. Surely our start is the story of the PL season so far? If Arsenal were down to the their last 13 larkers, had an Asst Manager managing the, an empty directors box etc, we would be seeing lavish full page praise for the marvellous gritty Gunners? As it is, we get faint praise because the media decide where the stories are before a ball is kicked, and to have THE story at Hal is most inconvenient. A win next week against Manchester and they might have to change their focus.
Personally i don`t give a flying **** what the media say about us, it`s OUR club, who we have supported all our lives, why the desperate need for the media to coo over us. Enjoy the ride, it`s great to see us doing brilliantly at the minute, but we need strength in numbers, to help these lads out and give them a chance to continue it.
We always had a chance in this game if we played as we did v Leicester, even if some wanted to be cautious over it. The Swansea manager incidentally has said " we did not deserve to lose today", which is bullshit. We had more good chances, and should have had a penalty. The stats about possession, corners and off target shots really didn't amount to much in this game. I remember at half time the commentator saying Swansea had had more of the possession and so might feel they should be winning, which was also stupid.
Remember it well, Wayne Brown got scorched. Still we were up against Wigan then, whose the 3rd game agen this season.
Deary me Aggron, I never had you down as the victim mentality type. Man the **** up. We're playing great football with a team of larkers who to a man, are giving it everything. It's not going to be the main news, unless we go another 20 games the same way. Why would it? But more importantly, who the **** cares?
I think you would stretching reality to call that attacking football. Effective and suppressive football, absolutely. Unless I'm in for a whoosh!
Agree and about time we won three in a row again at a season start. Do you know what season that was?
