Why do all of our goals so far look 10 times better than any we scored last season?! Every one of them is either a planned action (from corners) or fluent sweeping moves! Beautiful stuff
I'm glad I'm not the only one who's felt emotional after that! I watched it in a pub, great performance again. Yes Swansea had more possession and more shots (mainly from distance), but despite that it felt pretty under control. Phelan seems to have Brucey's defensive nous, but he's also braver, we're not defending for our lives when we take a lead anymore, we don't hoof it aimlessly, our attacks are controlled, everyone seems to know exactly what they're doing (goes back to Meyler's comment about knowing how many times the opposition go to the toilet). We let noticeably more bodies get forward. Yep, terrific stuff.
We've made life a lot more easier for ourselves with the games we have next month. It would have being difficult going into the Man United game knowing we'd still likely be left with 0 points and rooted at the bottom. As it is, it's a game we can go into with the pressure off and it's a free hit for us.
At the moment, they're all free hits. No one will expect us to win any games for a while still. Lets see what happens, at the moment it's ****ing brilliant.

Swansea are no mugs so to go there and win is an excellent result. So pleasing to see such desire and fight from the players and management team once again; we're full worth of the 6 points we have accumulated so far and we're playing the best football I have seen us play for at least 2 years.
The football is a real joy the last two games compared to the last 2 years, I always would rather see us trying to play and keeping that going than hoping to hold on to leads and watching players play in their shells tactically restricted and shackled. Last season you would be hoping for the best if we got ahead, today we got the second goal and finished the game. This is what I could't understand about Bruce in that play-off second leg, get them out there and score a goal and it's party time instead we got the most negative clinging on for dear -life game I ever saw, this is with a 3 goal lead! Please god the Allams see sense or the new owners come in and give Phelan the job, 6 points already out of 40 to stay up and it's the 20th of August
