    I'm sure the best bet for Jay would be with us and to give him more time in Europe and cup games.

    Remember Harry Kane didn't play much in the PL in Poch's first season until he did so well in Europe and the cups so a few months of "proving" before he got the chance to be the regular striker.

    Southampton manager Claude Puel has made his move to gazump Everton’s bid for Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal.

    According to RMC Sport, via Tribal Football, Puel has rung Ghezzal personally in order to discuss a potential move to Southampton. The Saints boss is looking to convince him to join his side, so to strengthen his squad ahead of the deadline in 11 days time.
    complicated things for Everton as he looks to swoop in and steal the winger from under their nose.

    The report says that Southampton have the money to spend and are willing to match Everton all the way. Now it seems as though it is a case of persuading Ghezzal that Southampton is a better team to sign for.

    I don't know anything about Ghezzal, but with Bolasie, Deulofeu, Mirallas and Lennon, Everton aren't exactly in desperate need for a winger.
