I agree that the media around him compared to his peers is definitely over the top, but if that is why people want him to fail, they're massive ****s. He doesn't choose what the media writes ffs. The thing is, Daley started to gain prominence just before Beijing, back just before this 'Golden Age' for GB at the Olympics began, and in a sport we've been bloody nowhere in, and he was so good for his age at the time too. His career was so easy for the press to jump on.
So not wanting someone to win a medal makes someone a ****? Bit weird. I just dont automatically want someone to to do well in life just because I happen to have been born on the same island as them.
I havent neglected to say actually. I said it a couple of weeks ago on this board when I was asked by Carmine why i hate Daley along with Moyles, Davina McCall and Richard Hammond.
Why don't you remind us all then, rather than causing a thread to have another page full of back and forth bitching as per usual?
Yes, and that suggests that some do. Ok you might as well say "if people want him to fail because he went to a posh school after being bullied then they're ****s". I mean, that isnt the reason but if people think that...
Ah, okay then. So you're just being a petty **** about it who for some reason won't give his reasons for it. I'll just have to consider you a **** then. I'm not Syd, so no more replies to you from now.
The Olympic women's triathlon is going on and there are hundreds of people on the beach in Rio who can't be bothered to walk fifty yards to watch the runners passing!
Vicky Holland has won the Bronze in the Triathlon. Her and Stanford were fighting for 3rd place, so we came 4th too.
