There's no doubt though, in my mind, that the Sterling incident wasn't as blatant as the Shawcross incident. Whilst I see no reason why every referee shouldn't be following Dean's lead in giving penalties for what Shawcross did, I would be surprised - and somewhat accepting of - if they also followed his lead in giving a penalty for what Sterling did.

Well done Manchester City. If they can harness their away form to good effect, the PL could be theirs. Other than Saints winning the PL, I would like Spurs to do better this coming season.
