A....we didn't get the pen even though it should. B....refs don't favour Man Utd ??? Please tell me your joking.
Me neither. United, IMO, are going to hammer a few teams this season, a bit like the Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke era, so more than happy to come away with just a 2-0 score line.
A) agreed B) it's not easy to make unpopular decisions especially when you know that Fergie and now Mourinho will publicly pull you apart so referees probably do unconsciously favour Man Utd.
Don't see it as deliberate, so not a conspiracy, but can be influenced by player reaction. Think we see less ref intimidation these days.
Ggggrrrrrrr. I'm sat here thinking about the formation change and getting annoyed. WHY play wingers as strikers/CAMs! Hopefully it works better against weaker opposition.
You mean why ask professional football players to try things they may not be used to? Probably because that's often the best way to get more out of them.
interesting fact... The ref from last nights game is from Manchester......hhhmmmnnn https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Taylor_(referee)
I think I would give Charlie Austin a go next week. He appears to be fit. It's stereotypical to say Long is more dangerous off the bench (than Austin), but maybe true as well.
