someone said he has already played for 2sides this season dunno if true or not?

would love us to sign a top quality striker but after todays signings I would settle for Heskey

@ Calmcumbrian - let's count our blessings. This is the first recorded incident of Poolie making ONE SINGLE RECCOMENDATION!

If he has lost anything, it can only be his pocket notebook where he jots down his lists of prefered signings :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    What about Thierry Henry?

Is he getting a game for Barca?
Would he come for 4 months?
    Would he be expensive?
    Would he be worth it?
Would we like to see him in a red and white shirt?

    Answers:
No - Maybe - absolutely - of course - too feckin right we would

Okay I realise he now plays for the New York Red Bulls.........I was just dreaming out loud?

Nah mate I just dont wanna be to greedy, the two signings today are class they have certainly improved us and January is a transfer window when nothing much happens. Look at our transfer dealing over the last few Januarys we have never signed players of the quality of Sessegnon and Muntari and if we don't sign a striker I wouldn't complain.

If we get anystriker IMO it will be a bonus we know Brucie aint bringing in Bents replacement till the summer so thats the time to worry and I rekon the Hulk rumours might not be as far off as people think I think thats the calibre of striker we will be looking at

haha I got to much stick over on the BBC so aint gunna bother with articles about players who we should look at, scrap that there is 1player who realistically I think we should sign and not a daft what you think of this player and thats Taye Taiwo who is out of contract in the summer but thats it

Only joshing, Poolie. Your reputation follows you!

BTW, Heskey has been mentioned before and I would not disagree. Capello may have not achieved success but he is no eejit either.

I think the mistake that many people make is classifying EH as a striker. No. He is an attacking MF player, a supplier to the strikers IMO.

If Brucey did bring him in, I would not complain.

I would have Taiwo too. Or Enrique.

I hope it's Wilfred Bony looks some player judging from that vid and his attributes on FM ( which IMO are always quite accurate). I would just be happy with any young striker brought in today after sess and muntari it would show such ambition and intent!

Or the big lad traore would be good! Allthough I don't think it will be an African as it's probably leaving it a bit late for work permits.

If you read between the lines, its not a replacement for Bent so dont think it will be anything too exciting just a stop gap.

Sturridge will probably go to Pool if Torres goes the other way.
