iAll the goings on,or should I say going outs is happening to our club??We have sold our main central-defender for peanuts and look to be selling his partner for a cut-price.We have bought an over-priced reserve from Chelsea and not yet bought Yedlin or M'Villa, but we have signed Pienar! What the heck is going on at our club? Can we not afford to spend money on players, like Bournemouth can??

I have just read a thread elsewhere titled. I think it would be better if we lose on Sunday.

Really wtf. What kind of mentality is that?

Mind over the last few days i get the feeling some on here may think the same.

To think it would be better to lose a game is just ****ing ******ed :( a lot of this **** is caused by the press and people are just believing everything.

We do need to get a few players in tho and I'm sure we will..

He has to be given time.

    A few bits from that.

Kaboul’s age and injury record were factors in Sunderland’s decision to sell.

We couldn’t go in for a [Christian] Benteke, for example. We are not in that market.

I thought Zenden was great the year we had him. Hope P Nar can have the same impact.

We won't know the context of this signing until the window shuts. If it's as cover for an injured Seb then it's a good signing.

I don't really care who we sign, it's the results that matter. The coaches have seen Pienar in training so must thing he is up to it, unlike nzog who was not offered a contract.

It is obvious that we are trying to plug the gaps with this signing, he is a decent addition under the circumstances and is less of a risk than Zog (ex Mag).

I better be careful what I say I might be sued, just that amatures are running this football club at the minute, in fact for the last 60 years, Bournemouth with their 13,000 capacity stadium can sign Ibe for £15 m hehe. I am expecting something sensational to happen on the 31 August or we are knackered.

This is the problem people don't realise football has moved on past stadium capacity. The real money is TV rights, sponsorship and investors. As others have pointed out our spending really comes down to Mr Short. He has to put his own money in to buy players. To be fair he has done it in the past: Bent, Gyan, AJ, Rodwell, Lens.
