Getting more and more concerned with our lack of penetration up front, plenty of creativity in the forward positions, but pace aside Long, Redmond and Tadic aren't gonna terrorise to many prem league defences

Iffy is one way of describing it. Seems as though Davis has been giving the lads shooting training.

Yeah. That's what makes him a good player, his size and strength. If he was a few inches shorter, he wouldn't be anywhere as good.

He is a back up, Bertrand is injured. What else do we do, a top left back won't sit on the bench SD back up. Target did look limited going forward, but he is young and learning, we need to cut him some slack whilst Bertrand recovers

Since Mane left we haven't got anyone who can really scare defences. Not surprising but we really need to find a Mane type player.

Who? Manchester United or Tottenham? I hope for the sake of real football fans it is not going to be United and I shall be delighted to cheer on their opponents every match. What on earth are people from Dorset supporting Manchester United when there is a PL team in that part of the world called Bournemouth. The same applies in Hampshire where there is a good PL team worth supporting but instead the plastics prefer to support the "glory boys." No, United will not win the league or Europa League!!

Redmond will get there, he's learning this position. As I kept saying, he just needs to be a bit braver and start trusting himself and his pace.

It's not just the goals, there were times we were really threatened and Utd could have had 3 or 4.

Our success in recent years has been based on 2 DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDERS. Sneiderlin/cork, Schneiderlin/wanyama, wanyama/Romeu, wanyama/classie.

4-2-3-1 please with Romeu/classie or Romeu/reed as CDM

Not much to say about that game, expected a defeat but disappointed to concede that penalty, very soft and at 1-0 it would have been a very different 2nd half. I'm still not sure what to make of Clasie which is perplexing since he's now in his 2nd season. I like the look of Redmond a lot, he's got a good first touch and a turn of speed, if he had a european name I think we'd all be gettting a bit excited.

It was quite a public remonstration which may not help him build a team. I don't think we ever looked like scoring

I think they will for just what you've said. Long alone terrorised defences second half of last season. We were waxing lyrical. Now we have Redmond who looks like he will do something and Tadic who looked very creative Saturday but not so tonight. Two games and I'm seeing some good creativity. I'd like more, but all this panic about it is a little premature.

We are short of a couple of players. Apart from that I thought the team done well. There were never any moments when I thought we were being out played. Apart from a quality header from one of the best cf's ever and a very poor penalty to give away then we were probably on top. Like I've said a couple of players in who have that extra bit of composure and class then we can look forward to a really positive season.

Despite the disallowed goal and the one v one and the poor cut back...

Oh yeah, the media must be salivating at the fact that the status quo may be restored, grateful for an easy narrative, boring boring boring. I guess the positive is that we can get back to hating United like the good healthy old fashioned days.

Seen a few people on social media saying (para) 'Zlatan was the difference - we don't have a Zlatan'.

Well, yes. As much as it pains me to indulge his ego further... there is only one Zlatan, and boy is he good.

Watching the replays of the pen just there, it was unfortunate. He didn't dangle a leg out, he clipped him but not because he was trying to tackle. It was unfortunate.
