You seemed to be saying that if they changed the badge and nothing else, you were happy. Sorry if I misinterpreted.
Is it not beneficial for both parties to improve the squad: If the new owners complete the sale then they've got a squad that can compete until January. If the Allams still own us, they can still try to sell a pl club beyond this season (hopefully) therefore more chance of getting the price they want
Hull City would be buying the players. I agree there's risks on both sides. I would assume that the sale amount or at least the method of calculation will have been agreed already.
To be honest it could be interpreted like what Sydney thought. The first time I read it I knew what you meant and didn't think of the alternative meaning but now I've read it again I see the other side.
I have to say, with this kind of money involved, you can get in a right mess by trying to make any assumptions or commitments without having the sale finalised. My guess is that they wouldn't go too far down the player route and just hope that they can get the rest done once the deal is completed. If it doesn't get done a few days before the transfer deadline it may never get done.
The Broker doing the deal has just tweeted "In boardrooms all day in the City. Getting the prep/dd work completed for 3 deals that Blackbridge is spearheading."
Yeh probably , I just hope they get the message and not just leave it as it is. Maybe we can send them a letter in mandarin explaining
They speak English. They can almost certainly read it too. Probably better than some on here. On both accounts.
I didn't mean to imply they couldn't, just it would be a nice effort to speak to them in their mother tongue and convey exactly how much it means to the fans, so nothing is lost in translation. I kinda think it will boil down to how involved they choose to be. Making a statement saying "we are hull city and we want it to say it on our own crest" would certainly make Some noise and put them in the limelight. They may choose to leave it as it is and not get involved. If they can bring in a decent marketing team , there's definitely a strong campaign that can be done, about history, new chapter/old roots, Heritage, (I almost said "giving Back to the community" but we all know what happened last time that was said)
