The transfer budget is great but what I'm really more interested to find out is the Chinese's stance on the name change and if we might revert back to the older better badge, or perhaps add our name to the new one. Now that I want to find out,
I have a feeling the old badge is done for regardless. I think if anything they'll add our name to the current one.
I would love to think that the new owners would appreciate what history and tradition means to us. I think the Chinese are a very traditional people who value their history and respect their ancestry. With that I would love to see the old badge with our name on it and a return to all things Tiger.
Old badge is dated and redundant . It symbolizes the past not to mention the type face font is horrific a d looks league one. Badge does need changing again though with the name back
And the badge is a different shape. And the nickname isn't at the bottom of it. In other words, it's a new badge. Imbecile.
Well spunkbreath, if you stopped poring over your zits in the reflection of your ****ty student monitor and concentrated for no more than 5 seconds, you'd see that it's the same tiger's head the club has been using for several decades now, the same colour scheme, the lot. The embellishments get tweaked very few years, like all clubs', but the core badge is the same tiger's head.
Touched a nerve it seems. You seem a bit on edge, Agro. Well done, you managed to spot that the badge has the same core element. Doesn't make it same badge though.
It makes sense even from a theoretical point of view. We go up a division and we needed most of a team and next year we would only need to make a few changes.
I would think you would need to spend £15m on a reasonable striker unless we got an unknown from overseas.
the current tiger was around for 20 yrs at most ... were you around at the previous attempts at it or just 2001 onwards?
