That is where your owners are spending all their billions:emoticon-0110-tongu

Would be best spending on the squad first? getting up top of the league you are in?

Get in the prem and you have a massive boost to your funds to pay for it<whistle>

Which it never, ever will do with Ken in charge <laugh>

I wen't into the car garage over the road from the walkers and they said the ground is going to be enhanced to 45k when they get into the Premier League.

An extra tier on each stand bar the prawn sandwich brigade stand<ok>

Opposition fans bring up Bates like we love him or something. I want the rotten old ****er out of my club as soon as possible, I'm just saying that there's no need for Leeds to move into a shiny, boring, symmetrical dish stadium because we've got one of our own with memories, atmosphere and character which can never be matched by some uninventive rubbish arena, and which can be extended to pretty much whatever size we want it to be.

An even bigger soulless stadium, then.

I don't want to pick holes in your wumming but I'm pretty sure we can only have another tier on the East Stand, extending it to 40,000.

I'm not wumming. the garage was asked if they would mind if the stadium was closer to them due to a extension.

The East stand, Family stand and Kop end.

They may well have been talking bollocks, but that is what they told me.

I can promise you thats what they said :)

I think you're attempting to make us envy you. We're not really interested in your stadium tbh, you guys can't talk about anything else.

Why is it soulless? You wouldn't happen to be envious now, would you?

I know you don't like Ken, which makes it hilarious <laugh>

Ok fair enough, I may have been mistaken <ok>

That would make it 45K would it?

I have 2 issues if that was the case:

    1. That would only be about 4k on each upper tier. Wouldn't that look a bit silly? Shouldn't the upper tier be a similar size to the lower one?
    2. I can't see us getting 40K regularly, let alone 45k. I can only ever see us getting 36-38K sellout.

Leeds 18 - If you don't mind forking out on a season ticket only to be given a seat that gives you a great view of a steel post then good luck. I kind of expected that in the 80's.
Does the restricted view cost more? - It stops you having to witness the whole Leeds spectacle thing every other week.

I was in there helping my grandad choose a nice new motor because his old one was falling to bits!

He loves it, it's one of those that doesn't have an ignition. The old man can't get his head around it and can't work out why there is no key on it <laugh>

Its dead comfy and drives a treat though so he loves it <ok>

Well, they said around 45k but I see what your are saying, only a 4k add on to each section might be a bit of a waste of time <ok>

I recko we could sell it out in the top half of the Prem, which is the ultimate goal <ok>

It was a Leicester fan who started talking about it, saying it was a reason players wouldn't want to come to our club. So in short, you're wrong.

Because there's nothing distinctive about it. There's no well-known singing stand like the Stretford, the Anfield Kop, Chelsea's Shed End, the Highbury North Bank, the Gelderd End or the Holte End; it's entirely symmetrical and has very few notable memories. It's the same reason that the Mona Lisa is more beautiful than some Bridget Riley bullshit: if something's got personality, it's more likely to be admired than some brutalist, tedious everyman-stadium.

So what is distinctive about Elland Road, I have been there 3/4 times now and it's just boredom. The away support has outsung you every time I have been.

If you went to the Louvre to admire the Mona Lisa, would you prefer to have an unobstructed view?

I have been there 4 times and the most exiting was when I was on crutches in '89, they won the league and the game 2-1 but still felt the urge to brick and bottle us in the away end?

It is definitly the worst ground I have ever been to, hang on, no, it is second to home Park as it was in 1988!
