I'd rather have 4/5 players for 30 mil rather than spent on 1. 4. You're assuming they aren't going to be chucking a lot more at it in January. 30 mil should easily be enough to tide us over
Strange thing is that they have come up with the list. So who knows whether they are already talking with a manager who is drawing up this list. Not an easy thing to do without a real football background especially at top level.
I wasn't knocking it, I was merely pointing out it won't go far with the inflated fees we are seeing, even for average players. You seem very confident in this £30m?

To be fair GLP, Palace pretty much just swapped Bolasie for Benteke, got £30m and spent it instantly.
The question is... where do we need to strengthen? Lets say we play a 4-3-3 for most of the season. Jak, Kuciak, Mannion (McGregor to come back) not sure about buying a keeper... if we have faith in Jak we're ok Davies, Maguire (Bruce and Dawson to come back) We definitely need a CB, I would rather loan one than buy... when Dawson & Bruce are fit again we have 4 which is enough for a back 4 formation. Also anyone new we sign will push Maguire further down the line and I feel he needs to start playing this season or he'll be on his way. Fullbacks is where we're short.. we need cover at both left back and right back.. or give Tymon a chance and just buy a right back. Midfield we're probably fine, only really need to buy a good creative player for the no.10 or Diame) role. Wingers we definitely need to improve, we've only got Snoddy Strikers... If we're playing with 1 loan striker we have Hernandez as first choice, Dio as 2nd or 3rd choice? Whoever we bring in must be able to play on the wings for me otherwise will they get a game?
Phelan has said in his interview, we need to get the first one in and the others will follow. Would the first one be a statement signing, others follow after showing our intent?
