Chazz, Chazz, Chazz You know that isn't right The mass production stuff maybe, but loads of nice, and bloody strong, IPAs as you well know
I know. Meant the tailgate parties. It's all cases of Bud and Miller Lite. I've had to leave the country rather than go to the Man U game, fear of Been called a plastic.
You think it doesn't? You seriously think inside a ground, footy fans are normal and behave like the rest of society? Do you often scream abuse at your neigbours, or anyone in authority? Have you ever even been to a game? Ever? You realise the reason you see less ****e at games now is due to the way games are policed, right? I did laugh at the "do you work for ..." dig. First sign of any trouble, you'd be knocking their door down, and expecting them to deal with anything from a burglary to an armed loony. Yeah, lets take the piss out of the police because they're all bastards and that's cool, amirite? No, it's not the majority these days, but there's still a minority who are dangerous, in the UK, adding alcohol to that inside a ground would be a recipe for disaster. Anyone who thinks otherwise is living in a fantasy world shored up by denial.
I think I heard about how the hipsters are mad for their IPA's over there... maybe I am just projecting stereotypes of bud-lite swigging Trailer Park trash redneck US backwoodsmen
Personally no I don't abuse anyone but then again I don't in a stadium either because I'm not a ****ing cretin. Your naive if you don't think the same goes on at other events, the fear of repercussion is usually enough to deter most violence. As for the police, whilst I'm sure they do plenty of good for society, I personally have had nothing but incompetence and laziness from them (WYP not Humberside), so much so I didn't bother calling the last time my house was burgled and my car broken into, I just got a crime number for the insurance a few days later.
I remember the days home team supporters use to sneak into the away end. Often wearing a scarf of the enemy. But im glad fans in general dont carry on like some of us use to.. I still LOVES banter between rival fans thats why I pick to stand close to them. But theres never any trouble nowadays Unless its fans of the same team fighting each other for some reason. Anyone wearing colours of the away team home section should slung out But the stewards are more likely to lob the home fans out at the kcom who are complaining. Twats that they are. Got into HULL CITY because I was born in HULL and my Dad was a city fan and started taking me in 65/66 season My two great neices are now Hull City crazy having become hooked by me taking them (at least I have done one good thing in life)
I never said it doesn't happen at other events, in fact I said it did, it's just not reported as heavily. Christ, even Bev races sees its fair share of trouble. All of which just proves my point, which you're ignoring, about the culture of drinking in the UK, and especially at football games.
Erm I am calm. No, I'm not pissed either, before you roll that old favorite of yours out. John and I are having a discussion about something, either add to it or don't. Neither of us are agitated and neither of us need to calm down.
I do think youve got a point about the mentality of getting smashed in this country though. Mind you we've all done it on more than one occasion.
