Benteke said back in March that he couldn't understand why the manager "ignores him". Liverpool have just turned down another Palace bid for him. Basically a player in the prime of his career is being left in limbo because one manager overpaid for him, another manager ignores him and his current club are insistent that his next club has to cover the cost of their mistake. Outrage.
But he's worth £32mil in this market, it's good to finally have someone with sense in the market. Agree tbh - as I said a couple of weeks ago it is the usual boring crap that happens in every pre season when some players are told they aren't in the manager's plans. A great success for Liverpool. Signing a player for well over the odds, paying him a fortune to sit on the bench and then taking a £5m loss in a booming transfer market where Bolasie is worth more. The Yanks must love Brendan! I appreciate that if Palace win the PL you get the extra £5m and it could happen. After all, even Leicester have won the PL.
