Everyone does have weaknesses it's true, but to what degree and how regular they are determines how good a player is. If Fraser's slowness stops him leaving his line, then that is a significant weakness IMO.
Judgement about when to come and when to stay is just as important as physical speed. I'm sure there have been times when Fraser could have come for a cross or cleared up a long ball to relieve pressure on the defense if he had been more decisive.

    The goals he conceded last season which I think he should have saved are;

Both goals in the defeat at home to Chelsea.

Both goals in the defeat away to Bournemouth.

The opening goal in the home win against Liverpool.

I try not to think about what could have been saved, what should have been saved, and what was an amazing save.
Then I saw Steks highlights V's Spurs, the bastard, I swear he pulled off two saves that he didn't get near with us for a whole season, the bastard!

Apparently he wants to leave for personal reasons which is fair enough but if that price is true then it's shocking management by their board.

That's annoying, watching Gaston buzz around the 18 yard box all season might be worse though.

Another player linked with a move OUT.
The Sun saying that Hull want to take Jay Rod on loan for the season.

    I'm definitely bored

In this game, it's the Chelsea keeper not coming off his line which is the most glaring.
As for Forster, he has certainly not covered himself in glory, but positionally he has not done much wrong.
The reactions are a little slow

20 goals "a season" suggests they score that consistently. A list of PL players that did it 3-4 times in their career over the last 20 years, would be rather short.

Surely Kevin Phillips scored 20+ in a season?! In early days at Sunderland - and we had him too.

Surprised not to see Michael Bridges in there either. He bagged enough for Leeds in their PL-winning season.

He also came about a yard and a half off his line against Ipswich once, but I was behind his goal and remember he looked back, saw where he was, and took a step back.

Other than wages, though, the risk for a club like Palace buying a player at that cost is if he gets injured and they do indeed struggle, then they're back in trouble and got no money left. But potential glory if it pays off.

Saints on the other hand are the ones putting aside all their money into their pension. We'll be laughing when we're whatever age clubs retire at!

Very tough. I think you're just not a fan, which is totally your choice.

Did you see Neuer cock up in the Euros? Just a quick one that springs to mind.

Overall, Fraser is the best keeper we've had here for years in my opinion. No-one better since Niemi. If that's not enough for us, then we should be careful what we should wish for.

Fraser's first six games back showed how good he is.

Leeds have never won he PL :emoticon-0105-wink: and Brisges only scored 19 goals in 56 games in total for them. He probably got injured 20 times.

Phillips scored 30 in the Prem one season for Sunderland I think.

Pretty sure Beattie scored 20+ for us one season. And LeTiss of course.

Beattie is the last one. Scored 23 from memory.

As Vin said, not really many of those around.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't be looking for one.

I don't recall Leeds winning the PL.

Bridges was a good player though, shame for his injuries, one that got away it would seem.

I think Leeds won the final D1 title and then it moved to the PL...

I'm sure no one, including our Board haven't said let's search for a striker or attacking midfielder than won't get us 20 goals a season, I'm not even sure there is a filter on the black box spread sheet that allows that...

Ah you beat me to it re Title.

You're right about Phillips too, him and Quinn were awesome for a few seasons.

Maybe we should buy Benteke from under the noses of Palace and that way we would find a great little roll for little Isgrove.

    Jokes...

Do you think we are actually looking for new signings? Or are the stories about Puel being happy with the squad accurate?
I don't think I remember a transfer window where the 'In' rumours are so few.
