    Everyone has weaknesses.

On the not coming off his line, that's his style. Some keepers come off their line, others don't.

Once a defender knows the keeper stays put most the time, that actually can prevent confusion as he knows the keeper isn't coming.

Being quick off the line doesn't always make you a better keeper. It is one aspect of the role. He isn't quick and because of that, I'm glad he stays put. Fraser knows he isn't quick and therefore, in my opinion, he manages that by staying put. Don't expect that to be ironed out, he's not quick, so he's not quick!

He isn't the best in the league, but he is more than a good keeper, he's a very, very good keeper and personally I think we're lucky to have him for the size of club we are.

I'd actually be interested to see your list.

Lets face it, without small faults he wouldn't be here. I think he is class, lovely having a position we don't have to worry about.

Shilton also came about a yard off his line against the Germans in 1990.

No keeper is perfect. Just their imperfections get *so* much more focussed on than other positions.

    Except Maya.

You know I still don't think I've ever seen anyone play better at subsequent tournaments, he was absolutely outstanding...

Forster is a top keeper. Easily good enough to replace Mignolet next summer.

For **** sake it gets worse.

    When will it ever stop?

I didn't even know he was changing nationality, and in God's name why Belgium. Nice buns though.

I'm always the ****ing last to know...

Ha! Could you possibly contact all the lads I played football with over the years, including my brother, and explain this to them please?

I used to stay on my line if I wasn't sure, being just 5' 9", and no matter how I played or what the result was, it seemed to be if I didn't come and collect crosses on the edge of the 18 yard box without making a mistake EVER, in Bruce Grobbelaar style, then I wasn't a very good goalie [this is Junior Saturday and Sunday league standard by the way].

I have never met a defender in 40 years of football, of all standards, who was happy with a goalie who mainly stayed on the line.

Benteke is a great signing for Palace. Price may seem a bit steep but the market's crazy at the moment.

I certainly don't see them going down now. They will play to his strengths n he'll easily bag 10+ goals.

And yes he's better than Pelle.

    Interesting psychology in transfer numbers

£34m compared to £27m feels closer together than £14m to £7m

I guess it's the percentage aspect

Liverpool could have named any price, Pards was desperate.

Palace just bought a 'get out of jail card' in Benny. Could see them badly struggling this season, but even Pards will struggle to faff this up.

Sunderland have accepted a bid from Watford for Kaboul.

Circa £4m <yikes> bargain for Watford that is.

What, their fans love Kaboul. John O'Shea got the naked Moyes photos out or something?
