    She should have been sent off but he did play well.

    You definitely need another centre half though. Daley Blind needs to play in midfield because, frankly, he's an abysmal centre half.

    I think we will have a good balance in defence once Smalling comes back. Blind is going to be one of these utility players filling in along the back to cover injuries. Valencia will benefit enormously from being allowed to belt up the wing, he is strong and fit but was held back by Lvg's stupid reluctance to let our backs fly last season. Valencia, Bailly, Smalling and Shaw looks a very strong unit.

    I prefer our defenders to be defenders.

    Personally I think Darmian should be given a run at right back. If he doesn't cut it then go for Fosu Mensah.

    Fosu-Mensah was class for you last season but I've read that Mourinho is sending him out on loan?

    Leicester should nab him if true - could do with another RB...

    Unsubstantiated Daily Fail rumour based on him training with the U21s whilst recovering from a calf injury.

    Doubt he will be going anywhere tbh - arguably our best full back after Shaw and his versatility will be vital this season.

    Tbf if he's a success you have to hand it to Jose. If there's one thing you can have confidence in, it's his ability to spot a good defender and develop them into great defenders.
