I don't have a brother, but can imagine winning a gold medal AND beating your brother must be so much more satisfying than 'just' winning a gold, no matter how much you love them
was discussing with a friend the most dominant Gold medals to have been won so far at the Olympics, Trott's Omnium victoy and Ledecky's 800m freestyle both mentioned, Alastair Brownlee's triathlon looks like it could well be joining that list
Its just the effort, no rest... the heart rate must be near max for the best part of 1 hour 45 ... absolutely awesome...
GOLD MEDAL ALERT Alastair Brownlee has won the Gold in the Triathlon. Johnny wins Silver. ****ing love it.
The Brownlees are machines. I've seen them wait and cross the line together before and was so sweet that Alastair waited for Johnny so he could get to share it with him. Then holding hands and hugging while on the floor. Must be one proud Mum and Dad Brownlee. Reet chuffed for them.
Imagine their competitors collectively groaning when they see the Brownlee brothers have entered the same event (not just the Olympics) must be soul destroying.
In all the interviews with the other competitors, all of them pretty much admitted there's no chance when the Brownlees are competing.
Unbelievable I had bbc1 on watching the boxing ,waiting for the bmx arrrrgh well I'm on bbc42 now barrrrls
