I can't see how that is right if there is documental evidence that the SMC has been paid off a mortgage as you can't take out a mortgage on something that isn't yours generally.
The County Road ground was bought by the SMC by Adam Pearson. The Allams sold it to Hull City Tigers Limited in the financial year ending June 2014. Hull City Tigers Limited rent it to Hull FC. I would have expected the mortgage to be paid off in 2014 when the transfer took place. In the same year the training ground at Cottingham was sold by the SMC to Hull City Tigers Limited. I would have expected the mortgage to have been paid at the date of transfer. It would seem the Companies House paperwork wasn't filed at the time and has now been rectified. If anyone is really interested they can go to Land Registry on Park Street and see when the mortgages were paid.
If it's been freshly paid off or if it's just a rectification either way it's the kind of thing that is highlighted and fixed in a takeover I imagine. So it's still a good indicator of a sale I would say.
Is that the word/sounds from the inner workings at the club? If it is completed in that sort of timescale very good news.....
It's all positive noises at the moment, even the club are suggesting to the HDM that it's not far off - 'Club sources have suggested that rapid progress has been made since the interested party watched City's 2-1 win over Leicester City on the opening weekend and the intent is there for a deal to be struck in advance of the transfer window closing on August 31.' http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/nema...tory-29625712-detail/story.html#ixzz4HgUImAB2

[QUOTE="Happy Tiger, Yes they got some stuff wrong, but they also got a lot right, which will of course be taken for granted, or just expected as an entitlement.[/QUOTE] Of -course having the Owners get stuff right should be seen as an entitlement - Dickhead!
Judging by our recent history, it's not going to happen! I really hope we don't leave everything down to the last week and rush everything. Saying that, I would have said that about leaving it to the last two weeks!
My biggest issue with that post was the claim that City are better financially run than ever. City are run in an unethical and penny-pinching way but even ignoring that, they're terrible at making money at City. Or rather, they're not bothered about money if they deem that making it would cost them pride and/or face.
You've made predictions like that before and i'm sorry to say they were wrong. I hope you're right this time.
